Oracle Quest - Tradeskill parts

Hi there, I have read this thread from the beginning, great work all so far.

I noticed some tried to use spell scrolls with different amount of silk and with/without the pattern, and especially Endure Magic, but have you tried using Resist Magic or even Guard of Druzzil?

One other simple combine I thought of. Anyone tried as much as 9 stone silk + pattern/some temper/curing agent/mana vial in a loom/deluxe sewing kit? That's a lot of silk, but worth trying imo.

Finaly I did some research on RL silk treatment, and it is made durable using curing agents, so I thought of Ethereal Curing Agent, anyone tried that yet?

I'd like to join the fun of combine trying, but I simply don't have time beside raids to camp stone spider unfortunatly

I tried all the possible combinations I could think of with Resist Magic, it's 6 posts above this one. If a spell is required in the combine, I'd tend to doubt it would be Guard of Druzzil simply because both of the other spells needed (Bind Affinity and Enchant Velium) were vendor sold and lower level.. needing a parchment turn in for a 60+ spell doesn't seem to fit the same pattern.

Btw, running down to the Stone Spider room and killing it only takes a few minutes if he's up.. even if you think you don't have time to go knock him off, it's a pretty quick kill I was able to get him a few times while everyone was running from raid target to raid target, but being a wizard might have given me a bit of an advantage :P

I haven't had a chance to get around to this part yet, but why not add a needle in there.

anyone try using the shielding line that int casters have ie. Shielding, Arch Shielding with the stone silk i would pick Arch Shielding to try first since its the same lvl as the Enchant Velium spell for the enchanted velium bits

An embroidering needle was mentioned earlier as DNC. A Needle Thin Claw and A Claw Needle, out of Vah Shir quest things, didn't work for me in any capacity.

Do you know, perhaps, the recipe for this... "A Needle" ? =)

It might be worth it to try the shaman spell Endurance of the Boar as well.

couldnt find any obvious spells so checked definition of durable..

Able to endure or continue in a particular condition; lasting; not perishable or changeable; not wearing out or decaying soon; enduring; as, durable cloth; durable happiness.

synonyms for durable from Oxford English Dictionary..

Syn: Lasting; permanent; enduring; firm; stable; continuing; constant; persistent.

starting to look for any of these words.. im afraid the one that leaps out immediately IS 'enduring' ill list spells using these synonyms and try to narrow the search

Ive noticed that no one has tried any pelts with there combines. Maybe Im reaching but perhaps it is simmilar to the combine for shadow silk. If memory serves me correct the combine for that is (1) silk swatch + (1) shadow wolf pelt + (1) spell:gather shadows = (1) shadow silk.
Maybe try: (?) Stone silk + (1) X pelt + (1) X spell (endure magic...etc...).

You may be on to something there, Kamdarian. If we compare the phylactery to a piece of armor, what do you use as your base? Leather padding, which is made from a silk thread and a pelt.

The Assistant's quest text says, "This is the base inside of the box and it must be made of durable stone silk to withstand the energies within a phylactery." It wouldn't be unreasonable for the "base of the phylactery" to be some kind of padded substance reinforced with the stone silk, as it were.

Maybe try leather padding itself? Maybe a common pelt (or even a shadow wolf pelt) as an ingredient? Maybe some sort of subcombine to make "stone silk padding"?

pelt plus spells not a bad idea but what pelt would it be?

I was thinking something to do with diamonds might be the answer. They are pretty darn durable and used to make resist gear to withstand the engeries of the phylactery.

I have tried combining blue diamond dust with the silk and the silk plus celestial essence with no success

I would try skin like diamond and the diamond dust thats a ground spawn in the TD

Um, stupid idea, but has anyone tried combine shyte with the Insert Pattern and NO stone silks? To create a sub-combine?

While small/medium/large container base mold is intended for smithing purpose I think it would be a good idea to include these in the recipe research.

Stone silk [?] + Insert Pattern [1] + Small/Medium/Large Base Container Mold [1] = Silk Insert
