More on the old nexus cave-in

The name of the other NPC was Serisn Galaskof. He's still listed on the Beastiary. If you look at his picture you see the edge of another mob - the dwarf Eslof.

If you descramble the name of this npc you can find the words: "flask" or "glass" in it.

By the way, here is a web site that is highly useful for solving anagrams:

    Andy's Anagram Solver
    http://www.ssynth.co.uk/~gay/anagram.html

Just type in a phrase and click a few options and it generates a nice long list.

Serisn Galaskof = A flagons kisser

I would NEVER come up with that on my own...

      Thanks for the link =)

        Nearby

Um, just thining. Brodder said nearby. There's another tavern over in that building near the brew barrels that sells stuff I haven't seen sold elsewhere. There's a 'Brewmasters doubblebok or something and a couple of mushroom brews. Might wanna try those if they haven't been done yet.

          Hummm...

Serisn Galaskof = Glass of Neriaks

Neriak Nectar? It is used in Shadow Temper...

            Hate Elven

Which makes me wonder more about this stanza:

            Spiced ale never seen?
            Brodder's Revenge?
            Test of Hate-elven delight?
            Quested too hard they say...
            Many groaned in dismay.

My main is a DE SK and I can't figure out which DE quest he's talking about here. Anybody have an idea?

there was a guy at the cave-in way back when...recognized what cave-in they spoke of. But i didn't think to go look again or try to fit through.
I hadn't thought much about the dwarves. When Luclin was released there were a number of incomplete/unimplemented/future use areas, one of which was the cave entrance that the dwarf was chipping away at. When PoP was released and the PoK book placed there, the dwarf (and his lost brother) were moved to Grimthor's and if you ask them, they are celebrating his return.

EQAtlas lists many of these areas as "to unknown zone" still. Another one that always piqued my interest was the entrance to Firefall in Shadeweaver's Thicket. There used to be a portal there that looked like the one in Fungus Grove to port to Twilight, but after PoP changes, the portal is missing. If I remember right, the portal said something like "you don't have the key" when clicked.

So Serisn Galaskof was in the nexus but is now gone.

Eslof Runsalark was in the nexus (and maybe Lareso Runsalark was also, behind the rockfall) and was moved to Grimthor's when POP came online.

I have a feeling these guys are not involved at all, since Lareso wasn't even around at the time this quest was started. Sigh.

I vote we storm the Foamymugs household and "figure out" the answer by way of brute force.

Has anyone tried Capt. Orlin's Spiced Ale? I found some on a vendor named Rrarrk near the docks on Kerra Island. It's no drop, but not tradeskill flagged either.

It is apparently used in a rather pointless quest (Well the faction is a good thing):

But I was wondering if this was a possibility. Has anyone given it to Lewena?

Yes, it was tried. She didn't want it.

It would not be the first time that a recipe or quest is "working as intended" but the forage or drop table is bugged for a while before it gets fixed. Also I'm not completely convinced that "Brodder's Revenge" will be Lewena's favorite drink.

Yeah. It took how many years before we were able to find the Ironforge daughter? =)

Indeed, the peppers are probably part of Brodder's Revenge, which in turn is probably handed to the hung over gnome. THEN he'll either tell you the recipe or give you her favorite drink.

Help us Brodder wan konobi, you're our only hope!
