Well thanks to Work i still have yet to get on to play for anyamont of time. But some Ideas i would like to toss out at you all

Brodder says something about "mug ale" but there is nothing in game called Mug ale BUT the Icon for Ale is a Mug ,... It could be a hint
Also I put it out before but agin Brodder says Hair of the Dwarf the bit ya ,..so that could be a hint for Dwarven ale

As for the Habenero Pepper WHY would they have something you could only get in a PoP zone for a SoL quest? but this is SOE so WHO knows. Im sure it have been tryed but what about the pepper+water flask. works to make oil so made pepper oil? or going off of how it make real hot suace maby Pepper+Vegs+waterflast or Pepper+vegs+water flask+ spices or how about Jum Jum Juice + pepper. also has anyone tryed using a spit or mixing bowl to make this hot suace?

One last random idea Brodder keeps talking about Halflings in his clues. and there is two halflings really close by the drunken one in the bar with Lewna. But there is also Tiplo the Gardener and he is also downon the ground he is lowwer then the bar so you would have to look down to see him. He also says if you need anything just ask. so maby we could get how to make BR or get some other form of a clue from him

or maby im just Reading to much in to Broddes words

      habenaro peppers

Ok habanero peppers are NOT ground spawn in pok. The only reson you are seeing them in pok is a druid has prolly recently been there. Those are known as druid droppings. We druids run around foraging whenver the little button pops up and if it's not worth keeping we drop it.

Hum ... Assuming we're dealing with Brodder's Revenge for the moment. He keeps referring to something spicy, like a pepper or tabasco sauce. From: http://www.tabasco.com/tabasco_tent/pepper_sauce/red_pepper_sauce.cfm

For well over a century, TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce has fired up the taste buds of adventurous-types everywhere. Its all natural ingredients and unique three-year aging process in white oak barrels make it a favorite - especially among those who appreciate the fact that doin' things right takes time and patience.

Since 1868, shortly after the Civil War, TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce has been made with just three natural ingredients: fully aged red peppers, Avery Island salt and distilled high-grain natural vinegar.
        (emphasis added)

        Possible Tabasco sauce recipe:

Habanero pepper, salt (?), vinegar, cask (?)

I'll play around with this, but I'm not sure what to make of the salt.

There is a bag of sea salt...dunno if that would do the trick. Could always try spices, or a jug of sauces with the vinegar

Firsly, not sure which thread to use, but since I didn't try any combines, I'll use this one.

SEcondly: someone suggested using a Thurgadin mug for the combine. This sounds like a really good idea to me. Not only have been mugs been mentioned in hinting, but this drink is, after all, a hangover cure made by pouring a bunch of stuff together. Other mugs to try: the one used for the mage focus quest, stein of moggok, ?

thirdly: re: Aviak eggs. I believe these were added when the fleeting quiver was added. Trying to track that down: Aoenla's fletching guide added recipe on 1-6-2002. Even assuming the recipe as posted there long after the recipe was added (a possibility), that's still a long time. I was goingto try to use the wayback machine webpage on the tailoring recipe page, but work blocked the site.

Brodder's all but confirmed in the DNC thread that we should be using Aviak eggs.

Incidentally, I tried a bunch of tabasco-type recipes as described above, using Mt. Death Mineral Salts and Bags of Sea Salt. All DNC. Full details in the other thread.

After looking around SH for quite some time, I was guessing that the hangover cure was for the gnome. He didn't look well, and asked for some hair of the dog:

                  You say, 'Hail, Slosean'
Slosean says 'Have you seen my short ale?'

He wouldn't take short ale when offered (or short beer, ale, gnomish spirits, ogre swill...) so I'm guessing he wants something other than beer. I couldn't find any text he responded to.

Also his name is odd. Slosean isn't a typical gnome name. Other gnomes in SH have typical names (with X, C, G in their names). As for anagrams, 'a lesson' seemed most likely, but 'ale's son' or 'son's ale' somewhat fit. Maybe he learned 'a lesson' about drinking?

OK, this is starting to get aggravating. I now have about three backpacks full of assorted items that may or not be part of this quest ...

                      Hello,

I got interested in this mystery and read through ALL the old posts (that took a while  ). I decided that I would add my input:

But a hungover bar dweller indeed might thank you for such a cure! Even though it might be worse that what yer suffering at the time.
Has anyone explored this quote by Brodder? I recall seeing some comments about how Brodder's revenge doesnt seem likely to be her favorite ale, and it does seem likely that a hungover bar dweller would want it more. I think its very possible that you need to give this to one of them, and perhaps once they sober up they will then shed the light on what drink, possibly a new ale, induced their drunken stupor.

Has anyone tried interrogating all the drunks around Norrath? (how are you feeling? Do you have a hangover? What hangover cure? What is Brodder's revenge? etc.). It would certainly be nice if there actually was a recipe listing in game in the manner.

                      Just my thoughts.

It's possible that the hung over bar dweller is Sloesen as pointed out by Andaerice. He certainly asks about his Short Ale - but doesn't seem to want it
Could he also be the mysterious drunk that dropped the bottle on the stairs leading up into the Fordel Quarter ?

If we can nail down "Brodder's Revenge" - it's certainly worth trying it with him and Lewena.

Aviak Eggs are foraged in Butcherblock, if I remember correctly. Reason I know this is you need it to make a fleeting quiver, which I tried once a long time ago.

                            Couple of thoughts.

First, the peppers probably aren't a brewing combine. GLM's have the baking subcombines, so I'd look there.

Second, I seem to remember hearing about a hangover remedy once that used tomato juice, tobasco, and eggs. There was probably more to it, but it's a thought.

For the Shaman Epic there is a drunk Barbarian you interact with in the Freeport sewers, but I doubt it's him. Thurgadin has a lot of bars and drunks. Unfortunately I haven't gotten my faction back to the point that I am welcome there. Perhaps this would be the place to start looking.
