Bump. I don't want this post to fall into the pages of lore, not while it's still an active search.

dont know if anyone has tried this for the "juice of a legume"
Nepeta Oil Extract
it's sold in Sharval off a few baking merchants, and it has the "This Item can be used in Tradeskills" Tag.
Nepeta is a type of mint plant, also sold by the merchantsLixivia_Syrinx_70_Paladin

Nepeta Oil Extract
Also what "IF" it isn't a combine at all.
Slosean says 'Thanks, lad! I would have been just fine if Lewena hadn't bought so many rounds of [mystery drink].'
Then to Bartender Woolf...
You say, 'what mystery drink'
Bartender Woolf says 'Ah, that's a special brew I keep behind the bar. I'd be glad to sell you some for only 5 platinum.'
*give* Bartender Woolf 5pp... etc...
bend dah ears of the devs and point them to this thread and the others

Re: Lewena
I haven't really followed the thread or the other ones on Lewena non stop, but are people aware that Lewena has a literal meaning? It's an herb (or more appropriately a type of herb), popular in Fiji. So perhaps the clue in the name isn't an anagram from Lewena.
like this...
Dried stems...what resembles a dry stem? Dunno. The ubiquitous jum jum stalk? There are cave lotus stems in LoY, but that seems unlikely.
Look down? A ground spawn?
I also thought about the comments "what makes an ale someone's favorite" in re: 2XDDS and our dwarf. Does it imply a favorite ale:
a) should be strong
b) should have subcombines?
c) should be double brewed?
d) should remind one of home?
Is there a forage/ground spawn in faydwer (she's an elf?) Cinnamon sticks are quite literally dried stems. They don't sound out of the question.
Faydwer shaker and a cinnamon stick? Somebody has probably said all of this before, but if not, maybe it helps, and if so, it wasn't in this thread at least.

Just a quick note...
I noticed after this last patch that the passed out gnome Slosean had been moved slightly. Before he had always been lying partly in the wall, and I could only see his full name by clicking on him and reading the target window. When I went yesterday to hand him a Regurgitonic, he was lying squarely on the bed.
Other than that, he didn't want the Regurgitonic, and neither did Hamon.

I may be completely off on this, but I'd thought I'd share and see what can be made of it...
A clue from Brodder: "Perhaps a mug on a shelf a clue?"
On the shelves behind the bar are a bunch of mugs.
There are 14 mugs on the first shelf, and 15 mugs on the second shelf.
There are 14 letters in "Eslof Runsalark", and 15 letters in "Lareso Runsalark".
There are 3 different colors of mugs, and 2 different styles.
If you ignore the styles, the yellow mugs are ENRSASFRK which one way unscramble as KERRANS FS. The Gray mugs are LUNAR ALAAS and the Brown mugs are ROOK EL SLUR. (A Rook is an Aviak, also mentioned by Brodder)
Obviously I'm failing at unscrambling this...

More anagram possibilities with their names
Another descramble:
Ignoring the last name and using both first names: Eslof and Loreso - if you combine both of their names and descramble becomes (among other things):
Loser of ales - or - Losers of ale
The last name: Runsalark descrambled becomes: Lunar arks
Lunar = Luclin Arks = boats, chests
Luclin boats? a vessel? a transport? = nexus
This may all be a foolish persuit of anagrams but who knows...Barli Truebeard

mugs on shelves
If you're going to follow the path of trying to descramble names based on the mugs on the shelves, then keep in mind also that there are spaces where there is no mug on the shelf. When I started down that route myself, I figured those missing mugs as word markers, though I didn't have anywhere else to go with it.

Nexus
Greetings everyone. I've been following this thread like reading a detective novel without an ending. You guys are driving me crazy! I haven't seen anyone else post this, but has anybody talked to the Runsalark brothers? It's an interesting conversation about one of them getting stuck in a cave-in in the nexus. Or behind some debris or something. I don't recall there being a cave-in in the nexus, but there is debris in NL. It's also a long hall. If I remember correctly, isn't there a quest where you give some type of ale to a guard in the Nexus? Maybe something about it was posted in the other thread. Also, Losers of Ale could also be Ale of Losers. Just a thought and to throw some more sand in the gears.

Re: Nexus Cave-In
Actually there is a spot right next to the PoK book in the nexus that looks like a cave-in. Rocks are piled up right next to the PoK book. Could it be that the rocks hold something? Are they clickable? You may be able to get behind a rock - who knows. Anyway - thought I'd throw that in...Barli Truebeard

Yeah, I checked out the rockfall in the Nexus. It's a pain, becasue the in-game map I have shows a partial hallway behind the rocks. But nothing I did would let me get arond the rocks: levitating, shrinking, ducking... maybe only tiny dwarfs can get through. :-)

I don't remember who was there before the pop book went in, but, there was a guy at the cave-in way back when... i should dig up the text from him. I have no memory of what he said and it predates the journals of course.
I did speak with the dwarf brothers and recognized what cave-in they spoke of. But i didn't think to go look again or try to fit through.
Last night I gathered up some aviak eggs, mugs, and cinnamon sticks and then ran out of time to make vodka to try some of the combines with cinnamon. I did make a few attempts in a mixing bowl with cinnamon and habanero peppers but of course everything was DNC.
Something tells me this recipe is right under our noses. The recipe for holy cake, for example, was given to us but it was wrong. It listed 2 celestial essences in the recipe. Eventually someone tossed in 3 essences and got a cake.
Based on Grobb's Liq Meat, it's hard to guess what container to try subcombines for "spices concocted", in addition to not knowing what is in the concoction. I would think mixing bowl. But i've toasted spices in a frying pan on the stove, as well as baking in the oven. bleh!
Terribly frustrating! It's gotta be here somewhere!
PS: I suck at anagrams or i would have leapt in there.
