Correct. I was only down there for a couple hours tho. I also bypassed the main city and just went straight to his old spawn point. Last night I checked the entire first building (where nothing sees invis) for ground spawns and found nothing except "Deep Soil", Lore, Magic, no known use, sells for a copper. I'll start working on the second section of the city tonight and tomarrow, but i'm kinda leaning away from my ground spawn theory. Now i'm thinking eaither rare drop from any named in the zone, or sub quest.

Also, I went through Paineel asking about miragul and Dartain. The only response I got was from the necro guild leader. It was basically just "You dont know about Miragul?!? blah blah blah..." and some stuff about the dark path. I couldnt get the conversation to move anywhere, try playing around with it.

With respect to the spawns of the Ghoul of Takish-Hiz. Me and a friend were watching the spawns while we were out there and seeing what spawned when and in perticuler to the EQ time. We discovered that the ghouls only spawn at night game time (8pm to 8am). We're unsure who they're placeholders are during the day time, but so far it looks like the sand scarabs are the place holders for the ghouls during the day.

With regards to Paineel, i tried to go there straight after patch. Each time I tried to zone in, I got ported to the safe spot outside Erudin.

After my 4th attempt to get in, there was a message when I got ported to Erudin. "This zone is not ready to be entered yet" in red letters.

I am assumming this means that something changed in paineel, due to it not being up with the rest of the server? Hole was up, cos as soon as i got into Paineel, went to hole, there was already a group there who had camped out there.

Oh yeah, and no dartain was up either.

I have gotten ONE report from a friend in-game who said that Dartain was spawning again. I do not yet have confirmation of that, nor did my friend know if he still drops the book.

You need to download the optional patch for Paineel, the Hole, the Warrens, and Stonebrunt. They are all free expansion zones.

KryorsKane, can you get any details at all about where he spawned or when? I was in the Hole 30 minutes after Friday mornings patch and 2 more times later in the day. I did not see him on track, so if he is spawning it is either with a PH or he is not trackable.

Tome of Mirugul

A couple of days ago we raided the hole and the Tome of Mirugul /sp. dropped of the Guardain of Seal, hope that this helps out.

We've killed Guardian of the Seal 2-3 times since emergency patch. Every time he drops a 4 slot container book for the OTHER HOLE QUEST that keeps getting crossed with this one in the thread

I'm 98% sure you mean Guardian of the Seal dropped another book, and not the Tome of Miragul.

would be cool if we could try to remap the hole, where mob spawns were moved and so forth. Since peeps seem to be scouring the hole anyway it shouldnt be too hard. (this way we have an idea where has been checked and where hasnt and info on new mobs)

Also, i heard that a few groups have camped/cleared the undead tower several times, if this is the case did you find anything about 'the fallen heretic' that spawns in one of the chambers close to where dartain used to spawn, and the new indiff. ghost that spawns in the top of the tower, 'Urwenae the Cold' sk/necro had a skelly pet, i checked out these places with an eye of tallon because i didnt have the force to get into the tower.

High scale kurn=spawns in the old number 9 spot on the eqatlas map

Kindle- spawns in front of the same building as kurn, before entering, she is in the 'courtyard' of the building sort of set back

at spot 11 on the old atlas map, in the botom of the vault the clover room, 3 kos chests spawn, or perhaps what is labled mimics

Polzin Mrid is in the same location as the old map

.... trying not to flame... but did you even read any other part of my post?

How did I get to the Hole then, as I posted further on in that post? I was merely stating that Paineel was down longer than other zones, and GM's flaged it as unable to zone in for the first 10-20 mintues after the patch came up, indicating that Paineel may have had something changed to it.

There are numerous "a fallen heretic" spawns around the undead tower. 4 in the bazement near where dartain used to spawn, and more in the cemetary.

Urwenae the Cold is for a Jaggedpin quest. Unrelated.

Additional info on Dartain. From what I was told, Dartain was killed Friday morning US time, after the mini-patch, on the Veeshan server. He did indeed drop the Tome. I have yet to speak to the person who killed him and collected the book, so I have no further information on whether he's trackable, where he spawned, etc.

Not 100% sure about this. Usually, after something is changed, GMs simply wander from server to server to check if it is working correctly, they dont keep a zone down. but who knows~

I ran through paineel again trying key phrases, nada. No new npcs, no new text. Unless they added the Tome of miragul as a reward for a quest that already exists, I dont think it can be obtained in paineel, nor will there be new information.

Do you hate this guy enough to post his name/server here? =) If Dartain still spawns in/near his old spot, I sure havent seen him, ive been down there for hours every day, and ive been crawling all over the ciry as well.
