New Oracle Quest

the rewards are for hybrids and necros i think. not sure what wizard get on the tradeskill part. casters do get the grand oracle stuff but that isn't a tradeskill its a trade in

The only rewards ive seen posted are the robe/tunic for int/wis casters, and those are the rewards before the tradeskill part of the quest. I don't think anyone has found the final reward, but are there no earlier rewards, SK useable?

not that i no of. that might have forgotten to mention gradn plate of the oracle but i doubt it. the phylactery hasn't been completed yet as far as i know but the message from sony said one for melee i think and the dark one for hybrids/necros. not sure about other int casters or wis casters but the final reward is for hybrids and necros so sk's should be fine.

First off it would be nice if the 'hidden' area in the hole with the new untargetable mob were located on a map, or described so we know how to get to it.

Two: Does ghoul of takish his that spawn in sro drop the anchor or only the one in oasis??? i have killed the ghoul in sro 7 or 8 times now and nothing. Also, is the anchor no drop?

Soul anchor is no drop, I personally got mine in South Ro, cannot personally confirm whether it also drops on the one in Oasis or not

Behind it was The protector of the runes who conned red and was weilding a very interesting looking particle staff, there were also some tubular things around him that seemed to be portals of some kind.

Sounds to me like the portal room they added with the Hole revamp. Do a little quest for the protector of runes, and you can use the portals to get to Neriak, Paineel, and Erudin. Quest on Alla's

Hmm. Who wants to bet a Tome of Miragul they put Dartain, untrackable, in the City? He was a /HERO/ to their people, a legendary shadowknight, who also could slay dragons single handedly if I remember right. A master of the dark arts. The librarian guy in Paineel speaks VERY briefly of him. Danak Dhorentath thought he was an interesting enough character to talk of him once.

So. Who wants to go dungeoncrawling with me again? =o

Edit: Before someone hollers, yes, Nortlav was a dragon killer too. I know!

have you figured out the PH yet to get him to spawn seeing as you've killed him so many times?

I tried many tactics. Kill everything! Kill undead! KILL KILL KILL! That wore me out for 2 weeks. I then remembered a childhood story I read, about a pouty little princess who would stomp her foot and get mad every time something didn't go her way. Her temper always got the better of her. I remember something about her trying to catch a unicorn, and butterflies -- Morgan Mine if I remember right. Anyway. Moral to the story is if you want something, be patient. It will show up and come to you. I sat my buns down in front of the Oasis sand pit jump in, and checked track about every 5 - 10 minutes, OOCing that I was looking for him. After 2 weeks of searching, I found him. At night. In Oasis. (My first anchor poofed due to LD, and the GM's decided /not/ to replace it, joy.)

Patience, and you will be rewarded. Don't let this quest get the better of you.

Too late. 12 hours now of destroying life in sro. 1 ghoul 0 drops, 4 AC, 3 Terrorantulas, dozens of lings.

NO tome of miragul for sale, no Dartain the lost in the hole, No mob seems to drop the book.

Far far too late.

Easily FDd myself down to to Dartains old room. There is a mob that spawns just outside where Dart used to. I read somewhere that a GM said:

a) Tome of Miragul is still on the loot table for the zone
b) Dartain still spawns "near" where he used to

so i'm probably gonna hang out down there for awhile, kill some stuff and see if I cant spawn or find him~

EDIT: Note: The quest for the portals involves many pages that spawn on the ground/on tables, bookshelves, etc etc around the Hole, what if the Tome of Miragul is now a ground spawn on an extended timer? Could be a long time before it is found~

Followup for above post~

Ok, so im sitting in the spot where Dartain used to spawn, waiting while I watch the game. I played around with the fallen heretics in the nearby rooms, keeping them cleared. The only roamer that i saw come nearby for an hour was a battered golem. All the sudden, a templebound spirit spawns in the room to my right (sitting at the end of the hallway in the Dartain area) I had been there over an hour before this guy spawned and killed no roamers. Could this be a PH for the new Dartain? does it spawn, stay up for a bit then despawn? play with it~

We had a templebound spirit, female erudite ghost, spawn in the center rocky area of the basement area where a fallen heretics spawn. We thought she warped in from the ceiling, like the golem we had pop a little while after. They could be patrollers, or place holders. She spawned about once for every 5 clearings of heretics for us.

Ranger in party got stuck in ceiling... I got about 15 mobs charging me from sticking my nose through a wall... don't use wolf form in the Hole. ~_~ Walls are buggy.
