I agree 100% with you, and yes you explained yourself fine.

    Peace

I havent worked with augs much at all but I was frantically trying to find my sacred book of gnomish culture to use up the CDD and shissar scales I have been building up for a while. Ended up thinking that I must have deleted it at some point because I did the tasks for all of them ages ago, went to get a new task only to discover that the reward was an inticate book not a sacred book. Now if you are thoroughly steeped in doing cultural I suppose you might have seen the intricate book in your bank and immediately realised that was the one you were looking for but for those of us that dont live and breathe tradeskills... its a bit confusing.

With all the confusion that exists already with the quested books being for the symbol/augs NOT actually the armor, could this maybe get reconsidered? Im not real sure how this pans out with the discussed changes other than supposedly there will still be a quest you have to do to get a part to be able to do the cultural combines but if there will still be an item with this purpose it would help a bunch to be a bit clearer.

Thanks a bunch for the consideration.

My bad, turns out I had just grabbed the wrong items in my combine, after being confused by the new names.

and no-one that has complained has given me a single detail

    I need

    Exact recipe
    Container
Exact parts you are trying to use (exact parts... not "swatch, hammer"... but Ornate Moonglade Swatch, Vah Shir Needle... etc...)
    Your race.
What zone you made the combine in
What server are you on. (these last two for possible bad data on the server)

Maybe you're using the wrong kit, or the wrong combination of water, aug, or items? I have had no trouble with experiment mode. I made several Sacred augs (formerly Master's) with nightmare arachnid silks to try and get tailoring skillup. All was done in Vah Shir cultural kit.

I have also been unable to combine cultural augs in experiment mode since the patch went live.

Its been a MAJOR frustration that I have YET to find an armor piece that these augs will fit in, that HAS a type 12 slot. If there's no armor w/ a type 12 slot to put them in, why make them type 12? It would breathe new life in to a stagnant aug type if there WAS armor to put them in.
My proposed solution to this would be to add a type 12 slot to the non-visible pieces of the old 'Blue Diamond' Cultural. So yeah ok, not every race got some to make, but every race could at least wear some, right? And it'd make them wanted items again, at least a little bit. (possibly on the whole suit would increase their value/usefulness a little)

huh? Well that is odd... it saves the recipe number not the recipe name... so it should be working... you just have to find the new name...

If you are in the guild hall move out. if not... what server? What exact components are you trying to combine (do not give a link here, actually go in game... have a browser to here open in a window or second computer, and write down the items you are actually putting in the combine, including the container)

Experiment does not work for me.
Is this only for swatches you already have made? Can I use the swatches I make today in the old recipes?

    ? about change

I have lots of the old recipe stuff stored all alts for all different races. I don't think I will have time to use it all up before the changes go live. If I make swatches out of the material will I be able to still use them in the new recipes after the changes go live? For example I have a lot of drachnid silk stored on alts from when dreadlands was a hot zone. If I make ornate duskwoven swatches with my dark elf tailor out of that material and store it on a mule will I be able to use those swatches to make stuff after the new changes go live?
