    Correct

They will no longer have a use in DoN cultural. I am at home, so can't look in the DB to see if there is another use. For various reasons, symbols cannot stack. (may just be "will" not, but I am not sure... But short answer. No they will not stack.)

Books, patterns, molds all the same all staying all still needed.

Waters are changing. As mentioned I will be looking at an exchange for them also.

They will be obsolete. I will look into an exchange for them though.

    That is what is happening.

same seals, different recipe to make them using a different drop item instead of the chronal/discordant/bazu/last blood steel/silk/leather

    Again I will re-iterate.

Existing seals will be unharmed and stay the same. The only thing changing about them is the recipe to make them and the drop item to make them (to make the seal, not the actual slot 12 augment. Same drop needed there)

They are one of the reasons I cannot do a raw item exchange, and only a "swatch" exchange. I cannot stop lambent stoned from dropping, and if I am going to have proper control over the drops, I need to be able to have just one source. We don't mind an initial influx (with people converting swatches) but don't want a continued extra source of them coming in.
What do you mean by "swatch" exchange?

I have saved Piles of Gravel to make Masters armor for my Ogre Shaman (Tyrant - chain) and my Dwarf Warrior (Stormguard - plate). My smithing skill for either character is not quite high enough yet to attempt to make the actual Tyrant / Stormguard armor with a reasonable chance of success. Would a "swatch" in this case mean use the Piles of Gravel to make the Tyrant Adamanite Bars and Stormguard Brellium Sheets which can then be exchanged for the new item if I haven't finished the armor by the time the new changes go in?

The "swatch", as I understand it in this case, are the Tyrant Bars and Stormguard Sheets which do not drop but must be made, whereas the Piles of Gravel are a "raw item" which will continue to drop.

Thank you again Ngreath for your diligence and prompt responses to all these posts.

    no trade parts

I am curious if the number of no trade parts increased with the new level 80being added (and i think based on discussion, more components). Currently with the 4 levels of DON stuff, if my character made parts for all the levels, a third of my bank is DON no trade stuff, containers, books, drops, or needles and such that are needed.

With even more no trade parts, I was wondering if there could be a special DON NO TRADE parts only bag. As is, i will not make any level 20, 40 or 60 augs, and will only make 70 and DON gear. Its not that i wont, but that i cant with the bank limits. (how quickly i adapt the 20, 40, 60, 70 names :-) Just curious as i did not see this aspect brought up. (most of my bank is stuff i am afraid to delete, not sure if i need it or not - how can you tell in eq, answer: you cant. Even asking about keys and access you cant tell if it is deletable now, its all not very well documented - and ya dont want to do those quests over again.)

One other aspect about DON armor, its uber solo gear even with no slot 12 AAAA aug. Is there any possibility of an improved slot 12 aug not raid only (i.e. discordant, bazu, lastblood, etc.) Besides you can not get a slot 12 aug without a tinkerer, and my druid cant tinker, so i cant make it anyways. No flame responses please, the question is will there be other ways to get slot 12 augs (such as improved DON purchases slot augs, or something else?)

Sorry for some non-ts comments, but this seems to be the only input into EQ that i have open to me (even attending an EQCON.) I spend most of my time in EQ doing TS - not much else a soloest can do :-), almost 2100 on my first char. TS is very much a draw in this game, that seems to be undervalued all the time. Not many things a 75 soloest can 1) find out about, 2) find in game, 3) do (so lots of TS.)

Woah, earlier in this thread you said:

"The seal recipes are changed to go with this, the rest of the combines are the same."

So which is it? Just the recipe changing, or is it going to take an entirely new component for the aug combine itself thus rendering already created seals worthless?

I'm in the same boat, sitting on a Last Blood Seal. We are in DP, but I am far down the list to get a Last Blood. Would be great if there was simply a recipe change, or even if one could simply exchange the old seals for new ones.

    Thank you for this information.

On Fennin Ro there were a number of people shouting about this in pok, and a LARGE number of false statements (based on your msgs) were made about the changes.
Yank, Talk to me ingame.. I'll help ya. you know that.. we've grouped. Ask Redbrick, I'll always help regarding Ts's.

I'm just thrilled that we have the House Ogre runnin' the TS show now, so we can actually get some warning, at least.

As for people who don't follow forums missing the notices, there's not much anyone can do about that, unfortunately. Although, I feel sure that the people who are really most interested in tradeskills visit some forum or another. I'd guess most tradeskillers actually making cultural armor are aware of the upcoming changes by now.

Honestly, I figure it's a safe bet that most rants or complaints will come from scale/hide farmers who have found themselves with worthless stockpiles.

Yes what? That was an either/or question, not yes/no.

Anyhoo, I read what Ngreth said, I'm just not totally clear on how this is affecting water. To recap:

the quests for the books are not gonna change right away, and once the new quests DO go in, Ngreth stated the old ones will still be complete-able, you just won't be able to GET the old quests after the new ones go in....

    ...so do not panic!
