The prices of the Silk-based "GM" armour can only come down, given how insanely rare Coarse Silk seems to be...

Actually I think the prices will go up initially, until people find and horde enough of the new cultural components.

I say combine them or sell them. When the change goes through, they won't be worth diddley because new components are going to be more common. Thus Grandmaster (or whatever they are called) will be worth much less after the patch, whenever that is.

Yeah, I'm in the same position. My computer died a few months ago and I'm I've been saving up for a new one. Can't wait to have my account unfrozen and play again. Monday last week I bought a few more supplies to make armour there and then.
Computer crashed and wouldn't turn back on!!
Thought it was a hard drive issue, seems it's more likely a motherboard issue. Downside is that I'm stuck using my old computer that can no longer run EQ because the graphics card is too ancient
Wouldn't bother me too much if I knew that I'd get the better one back before the changes!

Ngreth posted on the EQLive forums that they are waiting for one more code change, and they don't plan on the changes going out with the patch on the 16th.

Code changes and a new update possible on 16 May. Could that be patch to change the recipes?

So since we did announce the expansion today...
Yes, I do plan on a level 80 set of cultural for the expansion. I am not waiting for the expansion for the fixes to the existing cultural. (I am waiting on a code change)
