New Oracle Quest

Both are clickable from inventory

At the moment Soul Clasp is a +2 hp +2 mana. There are many buffs it will not stack with, most notably being Koadic's Heightened Focus, Lunar Whispers, and Maelin's. There are many caster self buffs that it will not stack with as well.

Regeneration is targetable instaclick. Obviously it will not stack with the other regenerations, its just like the spell. Just a 5 point regen which will only be useful if I am soloing.

Hopefully they will resolve the stacking issues or change the phylacteries majorly or this just will not be worth the time and effort most of us put into this quest.

Thanks, but i must say, i only helped find the last piece, i didnt solve the entire quest. There are many others who deserve the credit and the community as a whole who worked on the quest. I was just happy to be able to help contribute finally :P.

The quest also doesnt feel quite finished imo with the advent of the mana crystals and a lack of explanation of them or a possible purpose for them. It also seems odd that there is no meele/hybrid reward in this quest besides the phylacteries themselves which are nice, but dont seem, imo, to be on the same level as the robe or tunic.

Scrounge

Not that it has anything to do with this quest...however, someone mentioned they had never seen Scrounge in SRo. I have personally seen Scrounge (who dropped his pelt)...spawned right near the undead tower while I was clearing SRo for the AC.

I was hoping for a skel illusion with that effect....lich=undead.

Also, the insta click from inventory pretty much defeats the bad stats on it Obviously, people will use the phylactery for the effect (insta click) and just not wear it.

As for me, it's back to soloing that tunnel roamer tomorrow

There are actually three roamers that you can kill if you are force limited.

The first is the one that roams from the tunnel entrance to deep in the tunnel, beyond Jaeil. It spawns exactly in the 'clear water' emote pool with the dead earth elemental. This is the one that has turned into the Ancient Construct both times I have spawned it.

The second roamer spawns in the library hallway. It will stand around the library for a while, then wander east around the building and south into the 3-story building. Eventually it will path back to the library and repeat. The ratmen inhabitants follow a similar parade walk, but go to the south rooms instead of the library.

The third roamer shares a spawn spot with the ratman inhabitants, and spends most of its time in either the 6-ruined-construct kitchen or the stairs inside that building to the south of the dead earth elemental emote pool. It will occasionally path out and either stand just inside the tunnel or wander around to the northeast near the destroyed building.

I've had an easy time solo pulling the ruined constructs from the library halls out to a safe area to fight, but none of them have turned into Ancients. Pulling from that kitchen area where 6 ruined constructs spawn is near-certain death without a FD puller or a powerful group to offtank the 4 or 5 adds you get.

What an amazingly craptastic item for alot of work.

Yes this quest surely rivals the PotC earring in usefullness and tradeskill intensity. /scarcasm off.

I am very dissapointed in the final item. The only use of this quest is to obtain the robe now. - hp & - sta for a pitiful hp/mana regen are so not worth it.

Pity this quest had so much potential too. /sigh

That is true course people have already reported stacking problems like with the Mage hp/mana regen buff and other buffs.

Why make an item with such crappy stats if its only going to be used as a clicky effect? Why put stats on it at all?

I just finished this quest last night on the Nameless server (excluding tradeskill part). I have greatly thank my friends Queazan, Sisarek, Kerasis, and Jinkens, without whom I couldn't have finished it.

If possible, I need screen shots of the new Grand Tunic and Grand Robe of the Oracle, the Phylactery, the Dark Phylactery, and the Mana Crystals.

Robe Details - Here's a link to the new robe stats. Only change is "Focus Effect" to "Effect". Still no recommended or required level hehe

Again, thanks to everyone for the info. I wish I could offer more, but it is all correct (Note: Cazic is a horrible horrible long camp, but the bloodfiend DOES spawn and drop the book. In the Hole, an Ancient Construct DOES drop the Tome of Miragul. He's a bit chumpy, and summons. The ruined constructs are nasty. The location "J" on the map provided a few pages ago is perfect)

Yeah.. that would semi make sense, but it would also make it completely unusable be Necros and SKs since it wouldn't be able to stack with any of the lich-type lines of spells.

There are lots of things in EQ that can't even be worn that have stats...


As for the stacking issues... mostly it looks like it doesn't stack with caster buffs, thus semi-keeping in line with the fact it's more usable for Hybrids/melees. Either that, or they just didn't think too much about the stacking issues.

I dont think this quest is over. The stats are just too poor for the end item since the robe stats are quite nice. That and the mana crystal must have some use.

If the two people that started the quest arent interested in the phylactery or the mana crystals and niether is the oracle or his assistant then we only have one lead left.

I think its time to start looking for odd npcs or mobs in befallen. The quest suggests that the burning dead faction were trying to make a phylactery, perhaps we need to contact them and let them know we made one.
