I'm not sure on cycles, but I spent between 12 and 14 hours camping him. I suppose that translates into around 25 cycles, give or take. Thankfully, he dropped the tome the first time I saw him.

I hope you have better luck

    • more spawn information

The 7th Ancient Construct dropped Tome of Miragul for me.

I made around 20,000 plat from selling the things gotten during my 11 day camp. My helpers went away with as much more.

      • Bloodfiend in CT:
I worked on it over the course of several days, in between raids and such. 20-25 ph spawns sounds about what I did though total. Actually, I had better luck when a few of my guildies came to help me out than when I was soloing it, as he spawned on about the 5th spawn while they were there - more people always seems better luck to me. While they were there we were able to pull all the named phes in the maze and got a large number of the nameds to pop, so my 4 friends all walked away with something to give their alts or sell.

        • I spent 4 nights camping Bloodfiend. Finally about around 30ish PHs I got him to spawn and he dropped the book. My friend got him 3 times in 4 hours hours though. /rude him

              • Catarack, just to confirm. Are you saying you made the Phylactery using a Palatable Distilled Mana? Because if so, that would be very good news indeed. It suggests you can make the Phylactery with any kind of palatable mana. This would open the door for people to test and make the other palatable mana vials.

                • Well, I attempted to answer some of my own questions, and the results were rather disappointing. More of a confirmation of what has been posted here than new information.

I went to OOT with a beastlord and cleric. The beastlord had a token of service, and a thurgardin shaman breastplate. The cleric had a thurgardin cleric breastplate.

I turned in the items one at a time, starting with the token.

Then the cleric breastplate. No text, no item. To me, this suggests that multiquesting is not possible.

Then the shaman breastplate. Raotin Teawel said "Your promised reward." and gave me nothing. I tried /autoinventory in case I had some invisible item on my cursor but no dice. First general inventory slot was open. Nada.

                  • Just to confirm, with kindly dwarf faction, I received a MQ of an arch mage robe from Thurgardin. I was able to turn in the token of service and the robe for the grand tunic of the oracle (I am a druid.) Kyros -- you may want to note for your quest guide that the halfling is located on the Aviak island.

                    • Yea, it's been noted that a melee cannot get a reward, and that it is not possible to MQ it. Sucks, but maybe they'll fix it soon.

                      • This is confirming I used the "Palitable DISTILLED Mana" for the combine.

I had the effect on my toon for arround 8 hours also - cool buff

The combine worked and resulted in the same result as normal

ps. I have started trying combines with the Mana Crystals - I figure it must use research - possibly arch mage Grim or the necro purchasable tome

                          Hi all.
I handed in all the books to the Assistant and got the Token of Service. I went to the Halfling on Aviak island to hand in the Token of Service and a MQ Warrior BP from Thurgadin ..... and nothing. the npc said he didnt need the BP and gave it back to me. He also DID NOT give back the token. what gives? I have read here that other people have done it this way. I am beginning to have my doubts. I am currently waiting on my petition to be answered. Maybe I can get my token back at least.

                          • I've not done the quest, but from what I have read everyone who used another classes robe/tunic/BP did so with a BP that could work for the quest on it's own. Meaning Cleric BP, Shaman Chain Tunic, Druid Leather Tunic, or INT Caster Robe.

Not sure if anyone tried it with Melee BP/Chain Tunic/Leather Tunic
