Wow, I get on average now 3 skill ups per 4 hours of farming,. If you don't mind me asking, where were you farming parts?

I offered up my advice on a cheaper alternative to Fletching as it's not an option for all of us to farm cash. I'm not sure about anyone else, but farming the hot spots like Rathe Mountains or Crystal Caverns gets boring and irritating competing with others.

I just wanted to help out those whom, like myself, aren't able to make as much cash as we'd like.

To anyone Tenacious enough to go after all the tradeskills to 250, I admire your efforts and will one day join you in your endless pursuit of skill and knowledge.

      Blessed Squall Compound Bow
      MAGIC ITEM
      Slot: RANGE
      Skill: Archery Atk Delay: 55
      DMG: 23
      STR: +5 DEX: +5 WIS: +5
WT: 2.0 Range: 200 Size: LARGE
      Class: WAR PAL RNG ROG
      Race: ALL
      Deity: Karana

Made it after fiddling around to see what it was . Then went on to make a Blessed Hurricane Compund Bow which was supposed to be an Eternal Tempest Compound Bow, which i did make in the end. The squall bow was very trivial at 221. Thanks for all the invaluable information

        smithing trivials

At 119 the Steel bits were already trivial

at 121 the Pebble Shard was already trivial

at 127 the Steel Arrowshafts were already trivial

at 150 the SureFall Fletching Kit was not trivial, and I got the skill up to 151 making it.

              Yes...

For the Fletching stuff, you need to get the 'Mark of Karana', which is only obtainable if you are a Worshipper of Karana.

For the Cultural, the recipes are restricted by the Tradeskill Container used. Only those of the proper race can use the container to apply the recipe.

These Fletching Recipes are NOT considered Cultural.

isn't that a tad unfair? after tunare wood elves have to be tunare and wood elves that human, or anyone that has cultural who worship karana get both? this should have been done for sol ro. normally have to be a wizard to worship the guy so would make sense that wizards have diety and class rescrited items, but not race rescrited psuedocultural diety thing. gnomes and erudites would need to be able to wear a sol ro only wizard only robe, boot, etc. why would they implement this for karana? my wood elf ranger follows tunare so not upset really. more puzzeled? myabe they plan to do sol ro at some point and this was test?

I say it's about time SOE payed attention to us forgotten Karana Rangers. Tunare worshippers have the alternate "cultural" fletching path and are the only ones that can wear the helm of the tracker.

Sorry for straying about off topic, now back to pin pointing the trivial for those darned arrowheads, smithing 136 and counting fletching 211 with trophy.

sorry didn't mean it to be taken that way. i know karana ppl have been forgotten for a LONG time. was just wondering why they implemented it this way instead of like how tunare rescricted stuff through wood elves is.

Just a slight correctin to avoid confusion .... ONLY woodelves can do the Tunare "cultural" fletching, not all Tunare worshippers.

                        • Blessed Steel Arrowheads... who can make

Blessed Steel Arrowheads have smithing trivial >187 and don't seem to require the Mark of Karana.... Can my Cazic Thule worshiping Troll make some of these? If so, praise be to Cazic for the foolishness of Karana to let me use his recipe to get my skill high enough to make a shawl that's blessed by Brell. Can't all the gods just... just get along?

ps: does it still swallow the file?

                          • the kit

In case anyone is curious, the kit is usable for non-Karana fletching, so two kits are not needed.

You can't obtain one of the items used in the creation of these arrows as you don't worship the appropriate deity. So, no, as a worshipper of Cazic-Thule, you cannot make these arrows. I'm pretty sure you can't use them either. You will most likely have to wait the long years that Karana worshipers had to wait to get something for your Deity for a tradeskill as well.

As for the file being consumed, no clue my friend. I can't make these arrows myself So I don't know.

Actually he was asking about just the 'Arrow HEADS'... not the final arrows themselves.

Based on that, if you can:

                                a) Obtain the Bricks of Steel
                                b) And you can Obtain Imbued Plains Pebbles...

THEN, there is no reason I can think of why you can't make the arrowheads.

As for it eating the file on combine... I thought I put it in as returned on success... but someone elsewhere in the thread probably said it ate the file.
