Humans of Tunare can Smith nice stuff, so I am less inclined to feel bad for them

As I was the one who reported that the Steel Guardian Arrows trivialled at 249, I feel I need to post this.
I skilled from 242 to 249 fletching on them earlier in the week, and then started getting trivial messages (using the same stack of nocks I got the skillup to 249, so that wasn't a hidden problem). I read a reply saying they weren't getting a trivial message at 250, so I tried again yesterday. I am NOT receiving a trivial message at 249 fletching on either the Steel Guardian Arrows or Blessed Guardian Arrows.
I planned to hold my post yesterday for until I dinged 250 fletching and could report my findings for both 249 skill and 250 skill, but I've gone 128 non-trivial combines without a skillup, so it will have to wait for now.
Hope this helps!
P.S. My tradeskiller is a 62 halfling druid, for those who are wondering.

Hi All
While my Fletching is 170, Brewing is 153 but my Smithing is 43 so with some trepidation I started out on the trail.
The Steel Working Knife suceeded first attempt and was trivial at 43
While I failed my first attempt at the Surefall Fletching Kit.
So it was off to try the brewing.
Surefall Tannin gave trival at 153, Both attempts worked.
So it's off to get more plat and learn a bit more smithing
Yours

Advice, take it or leave it...
Hey everyone, I have some advice on skill ups. It relates to this thread only because I've seen a few people using this deity based item as a way to skill up or intending to. I know skill ups aren't exactly easy to get between 202 and 250 in fletching, I've been trying for over a month and a half now.
So Here's my advice. Don't use these fine arrows to skill up UNLESS you have no other means to or a lot of plat burning holes in your pockets. For roughly 1500 plat with maxed faction in my home tree fort of Kelethin and over 150 Charisma I can buy enough supplies to make 100 combines on non-blessed faydark champion arrows. From what I have seen, the cost is pretty much the same for Wood Elves and Karana followers to purchase comparable parts. Out of 100 attempts at skill 206 I made a whole 30 arrows and got 0 skill ups. I realize the randomness of the game is streaky at best, but one would figure I would have gotten maybe 1 or 2 skill ups. 1500 plat for 30 arrows that are marginally better then the ones I was making previously isn't worth it, especially for skill ups.
My suggestion, if you don't mind taking time away from raiding and exping is farming 2 basic parts that require about 112 smithing or so. For tips, farm condensed shadow chunks in Shadeweaver's Thicket (zone in when you click the Shar Vahl Stone in Plane of Knowledge). They can be found on Shak Dratha tribe monsters. Killing caverns of Gor Taku tribe mobs will eventually get them to spawn. Combine a file. a flask of water and a chunk of condensed shadow in a forge to create 2 arrow heads, the file is returned no matter if you fail or not. Next, you can kill tribal mobs in Dawn Shroud Peaks or Grimlings in Tenebrous Mountains in one of two mines (I suggest the west mine) for Acrylia peices and up to Blocks. The Grimling Runner and Grimling Laborer will more often then not drop acrylia. The mines also garner a decent amount of other sellable things to make cash in a modest amount as well. Combine a small brick (you can render down large bricks and blocks with a chisel or combine 3 peices with a flask of water to make small bricks), arrow shaft mold and a flask of water to make 2 shafts. Combine the shaft, tip, small knock and a shield fletch in a planar or regular fletching kit to make a shadow tipped acrylia arrow. Trivial is 250 and lower cost, albeit more time consuming. Out of 60 attempts my average is 3 skill ups per batch of 60 and I make enough arrows to fill just over 2 quivers.
Depending on your level the grimlings will make you some exp (Grimling Formen are dark blue at 51, watch out for the geomancers if your resists are low). You will make some cash and have some decent arrows to kite with or use on raids. Once you hit 250 the Fine Karana deity arrows will be a very viable option for selling (I haven't found much market for arrows on Innoruuk) or use on raids. If you are one of those higher planes enabled/leveled people then you're probably not as broke as myself so you can just spend your plat making these new Karana arrows. I hope this helps those of you whom are poor like me and makes it possible for you to later make some of the best arrows in the game.

Farming with a 61 druid, I averaged a skillup about every 20 hours of farming doing acrylia arrows... go farm cash and buy the acrylia I say...
Anyway, I finally dinged 250 fletching, and the "Steel Guardian Arrows" and "Blessed Guardian Arrows" are still not trivial. Only took 135 non-trivial combines to get from 249 to 250 fletching.
Hope this helps~

Congrats Neth!! Now get that Smithing and Tailoring GM'd foof! *huggles and spanks!*
I have also /feedback'd to Sony to be SURE that when they change the tannin recipe IG that they also change the text in the recipe book. I can just see this being very easily overlooked.{dead image removed by Ngreth at ulujain's request}

Onthe other hand, I have been enjoying a new tradeskill(smithing) and watching the skillups come fairly fast and easily compared to my fletching, where I am still stuck in the hell levels(Just got 218...hopefully fletching will speed up at least a little, soon).
Since I am human, my choices for skillups in fletching at the moment are Karana fletching, Acrylia arrows, or bows.
I have sold a few of the Steel Guardian arrows in the bazaar. Apparently all to rangers with endless quivver, as they each bought one arrow only<sigh>. As much as I am looking forward to that ability myself, as a fletcher it is occasionally annoying. LOL
