Are you sure about that? I'll double check my logs when I get home, but I do not believe the Steel Guardian Arrows (the one with the small nock, non imbued) were trivial at 250.

If they were I should have been seeing alot better success rate than 60% with 250skill and 5% mod.

I was getting the same success rate for the non karana only as I was for the Blessed version.

Granted, it's possible I had a horrible run of luck with the RNG.

I'd encourage everyone to /bug about the blessed arrowheads. They consume the file when the others do not, which may be intended, but they also consume the mark on failure, which just seems annoying since it's not even a purchased component.

Sort of annoying to either lug marks and steel to PoK or file molds and metal bits to surefall.

          I'm confused.

Surefall Sap + Water Flask in Brew Barrel = Vital Essence
Surefall Sap + Water Flask in Brew Barrel = Surefall Tannin

          What gives?

Hello all, this is my first post here but I've long been a user of the site and these forums.

After two days of work I have some additional information that may be of use. The Steel Fletches Trivial = 34. I took a friend to Surefall this morning and got her from 22 Blacksmithing to 188 in a matter of hours. The Steel Hunter and Steel Phalanx both trivial <=202.

Something I've noticed, but was not sure if anyone else has mentioned, there is now a forge in the trainers building in Surefall Glade. If this had always been there, I apologize in advance for being blind. Otherwise I will try to get an exact /loc for you all.

What Gives is that Sony made a BOO-BOO and reused the same recipe for two items. It currently makes a Surefall Tannin.

Which makes the Vital Essence, needed for the Antonican Needle un-makeable now.

                  Bah!

When I first started getting bored of my rogue back on brell, I made a ranger. Asked a level 60 ranger for some advice when I was level 26 on what bow to use. She seen I was a half elf and asked what diety I worshiped. Karana, because it sounded cool. I was told I made a mistake, I wanted Tunare because of better gear. GAH! So I delete and start over as a wood elf ranger of Tunare. Things were much better. Now I'm on Innoruuk and doing much better for myself. I've advised many aspiring rangers towards being a wood elf or at least worshiping Tunare. Some other poor person remade at the mid-twenties, whom I helped PL back to thier previous level. Now they go and finally make things the way they could have been YEARS ago. Man I hate these people, why do they make this game worse then Heroine?

Well, gratz for all you Karana Rangers. Glad you finally got your dues. Thanks for all the wonderful information, now I gotta tell my human friend he can finally have awesome arrows like mine.

Nithas: "I swear, if we were on a PVP server or in the Arena you'd be a dead porcupine!"

My main is a Karana worshiping ranger, so I am extremely happy having new fletching recipes to play with. I have been fletching obsessed for ages and jealous of the wood elves with their alternate skill up path. Now I am happy...for a while. I always want more recipes. =)

I recall visiting home(Surefall) some time ago with the intent of giving Splitpaw armor and bows and arrows that I had just made to some newbie ranger or rangers(I have celebrated Ding days and fletching milestones this way). I found one ranger in Surefall, but he wouldn't accept my gear because he was going to delete this toon and make a wood elf ranger because, "woodelves are the only race that made decent rangers". I think I stood there in shock for a while in empty Surefall Glade(before Jaggedpine made it a destination for more folk)...and then took the gear to Qeynos and found a paladin to give it all to.

On the plus side, I know two other Karana worshiping rangers on my server. One of whom I met yesterday and we helped each other with the recipes and encouragement while we smithed our fletching kits and arrowheads.

Of course, if I had had any foresight or real faith that recipes would be added for Karana worshipers I would have had a smithing higher than 23 on patch day. ROFL! (it is now 91 and rising).

Was sad this morning when I was trying to skill ups/sell backs of the non blessed arrows to see them sold at a awesome price for 1silver 1 copper. So its a bit pricey to attempt your skill ups that way, unless you have a good market in the bazaar for the arrows =(

After next patch, the surefall tannin will use a foraged pod of water instead of a water flask, thus unbreaking the vital essence recipe.

Hmmm... well that sounds good. Something to save the pods for.

But part of me would have thought "Rain Water" would be a bit more appropriate... being it is for Karana worshipers.

                                solsek ro

sorry but as a wizard of sol ro this is exactly what needs to happen with sol ro gear. currently no race has sol ro gear. any wizard cept for froggies can worship him. this would have been perfect for a same class/diety cross race sort of thing for his followers. not sure why they did it to karana and let Karana halfelves do it when Tunarean halfelves can't. it causes all sorts of problems if they dont nerf it though. wood elf cultural is mostly bows of tunare. they can do the karana things if they worship Karana. (can they?) half elves can do the Karana stuff but aren't supposed to have a cultural. think SOE is going to start making deity more important than race? hope they dont nerf it but the simplest path is usually taken. good luck. my wood elf ranger alt worships tunare so i can just stick with her cultural.
