Aid Grimel Quest

I've tried the Hero Sandwich in the oven (thought the samething about the finger food...DNC).

Other possible thought is that we are focusing on the "Platter" when we should be looking at the "Party". /shrug

I've tried using the various meats and items I have recieved from PoWater and using them in place of the Hero Parts for the Smoked/Spiced recipe. DNC.

Ok, working off the fact that we haven't seen anything from the Plane of Earth thought I might try the various items like "enchanted ball of clay", "magical bark", "Large chunks of clay" and the "magically enforced branch". Used the scupture tools and water flask as well as a "Flask of Pure Water" I got from PoAir, but got DNC for everything. We have yet to see a Shattered Cyrstal drop so I was unable to try using the Earth glaze.

My thinking was that since the quest took us to Fire and Air, and the baking was pointing us towards Water that maybe the "tray" would be made from Plane of Earth items.

I haven't tried using the items with vendor sold sketches yet.

Haven't tried using a single Justice Fruit Pie to see if it can be sliced liike the cake either....

Poppers, Pie and Surprise seem like they would be a good fit for a party platter. (My server seems to have trouble making the poppers)

In most, if not all, cases the recipes have had some connection to the title, such as Misty Thicket Picnic using Jumjum (err) stalk, cake and drink, Sacred water being found on followers of MM....ok, so what in PoP has anything to do with Bristlebane?

Bristlebane is the King of Thieves (and practical jokes)....what connection to PoP does he have that could be used for the recipe?

Found a lice ridden carapace or something like that in pow, We have a master looter and seemingly he thought it of little use GG destroy button, could be the platter that everyones looking for, anyone else seen one? Seeing as it dropped off the regura's that supposedly ate up naiomi hoping that perhaps you hand that into fimli and he say's Goodness gracious that's exactly what I have been looking for take blah blah and blah blah to clean up the platter and you are well on your way ! ......of course when has VI been known to be so straightforward......

The carapace is a rare drop that only comes off the Ancient Regura, who is one of the hardest trash mobs you'll ever meet in the game. Those of us in the guild who are familiar with this quest have speculated it might be used for the platter, but so far no luck.

Also, I have an unstackable "crab meat" from water which I have not had a chance to test out with combines:

It was given to me after a raid, so I don't know what mob it came from (I didn't even remember seeing it looted).

Given this is possibly the last step of the quest, I would not be surprised if the components for this platter were indeed off raid-required mobs (or at least a large force). My guild has pretty much farmed most of PoWater many times over... so I don't think there are any items that exist in the zone that are undiscovered. We should try to test out the carapace and that crab meat, along with various other drops in the zone. The thing that irks me though is no recipe is available in the game (or at least hasn't been found). Par for the course I suppose though on a quest like this. I guess we should be happy for now it's working up to the 6th step.

the carapace can be dropped by any Regrua, I have 2 in the bank and have been trying to combine them with various ores, metals(silver, gold ect) enchanted and unechanted and even tried cleaning it with the acid wash used in step 1 of the quest with the BP, none of these thigns have been successful as of yet =*(

I too have several in bank that were dropped off regular Regura's and seems to be an uncommon drop for them. I've also tried the acid wash and using them in the Wok recipe but have had no luck to date. I'll try turning it in to Grimel to see if there is a reaction.

I have about a full bag of unstackable crab meat and have tried them in various recipes (as a substitute for Hero Parts etc...) and have yet to find a combine. Although that doesn't mean I tried ever possible combine cause I ain't that smart. =/

The basket and spool, in MTP, used alchemy components..tried a few and didn't have any luck.

Going to try using the Kelp and silk to see if there might be some other combine (ie..using two silks makes a swatch, maybe using three makes uber swatch).
