Failed Tailoring @ 247 skill.... and the drop rate for the saps is so so low. I've found none to drop in over 19 hours of camping spiders only in between Castle 1 and Castle 2
Failed Attempt #2.
Back to Camping Saps.
1/3 Tailoring @ 247
1/1 Fletching @ 250
Signet of the Arcane obtained! I'm pretty sure I just stuck the food in the container with the earring, and it did NOT have a trivial.Last edited by straatius; 02-04-2004, 12:02 AM.Kirynos Inuki

1/2 Smithing @ 220 + 5%
1/1 Brewing @ 242 + Trophy
1/1 JC @ 220 + 5%
1/1 Pottery @ 222 no mod
1/1 Tailoring @ 222 + 5%
0/1 Fletching @ 242 + Trophy
2/3 Party platters @ 220 + 5%, think final combine has triv too tho.
Getting the silks for bow was 10x worse then the saps any day of the week.Last edited by Kellaen; 02-01-2004, 06:31 PM.

Any suggestions on this? I am 236 now, have failed 5 times. I always use the loom in PoK, and always have a geerlok. Saps are tough, I can solo fire but a spider takes me a good 20-30 minutes to kill and at a drop rate of around 1 in 300, that is not a feasible option. Has anyone seen better luck without geerlok? Is it possible to do this in another zone(I historically have more failures in PoK than in any other zone)?
Oh well, off to club more baby otters.

The combine has to be done in a tanaan loom so it can ONLY be done in one spot in PoK. Just a string of bad luckHand in there its so worth it
My advice put the stuff in the loom, look away, hit combine, then do some other chore for a few minutes. I did this and saw a purdy blue robe on my curser when I got back

Thanks Renjah, I know and I actually have done that before, it just gets irksome after a bit. My guild just hit time so soon we will probably see better ears, but I don't care right now if the final product is ac 1 hp 1 mana 1 after the time and money I have invested I will get that shiny thing if it is the last thing I do.

I am now 0 for 3 in Fletching :/ (240 + 5%, so max skill)
Believe it or not, I *also* failed the trivial combine of the Silk String... So I blew 8 Air Arachnid Silks so far.
Am I just really unlucky? Seems everyone does it first or second try
Anyways, lf for another Featherwood bow staff and a few chunks of wind metal on Povar /big sigh

tailoring part may have changed!
Just bought my 3rd sap in the bazaar for my 4th attempt at the 2nd ear, and when I went to the loom in the tailoring shop in the Western Trades Buildings in PoK I discovered a change to the combine.
I could *NOT* combine my stuff in either the loom on the ground level of that room nor could I combine them in a collapsible sewing kit - and on previous combines, both had worked. In fact, the ground floor loom was the one where I had successfully made my tailoring combine for my 1st ear.
However, I noticed a loom on the upper ledge of this store by the top vendor there (new loom...?) and proceeded to use that - and it worked. (And I was successful too - woot!)
So just a heads-up on this part of the quest. I think SoE may have changed it (and hopefully the trivial isn't so high now...).
