Oracle Quest - Tradeskill parts

Still missing 2 books myself here, I haven't been able to obtain the Mana Crystals, otherwise I would have tried this myself.

I have seen NO reports yet of ANYONE trying to combine the Mana Crystals with an emptied Vial of Palatable mana to see if it could be refilled, with maybe a few more other "logical" ingredients or not.

Unfortunately this requires wasting another tome of miragul to get the item to make the vial of mana though. Soon as someone has an extra tome, I'm sure we'll see it tried.

Ok just for clarifications sake, was it noon time in game or noon time in real life? If in game do you mean 12pm or 12am?

I only ask because as I was camping the thing for several hours with my tracker when I noticed that ghouls wouldn't spawn during the daytime. I took a chance and only killed the ghouls and got 3 ghoul's of takish-haz to spawn almost back to back just from killing ghoul's.

So that is why I ask.

He means gametime, and the Ghoul can spawn during the day, that's when I got my anchor. As for me, I killed ghouls for hours and he never spawned, but when I started killing everything else too, he spawned. So I think anything can be a PH, or at least it seems that way.

This Ghoul is my bane. Eleven kills so far and no clasp, over 30 hours clearing Oasis. I have more Sands of Ro than I can shake a stick at, even got Cazel to spawn but the clasp eludes me still. Every Ghoul I kill I say to myself surely this one will have it. *sigh*

update: 6 more hours 2 more spawns, no clasp

Bit of info here i tried the Palatable mana and failed 2 times at 175 skill got sugar back both times. One more thing when you hand the books to the assistant you get a Exp type sound and his text is in yellow not white (i have all mine set to default colors) Hope this helps some

This is just wrong. Oasis - 40+ hours, 14+ kills, and zero spiritual anchor. I am beginning to wonder if something is bugged, or there is something I am missing.

This is a nice item, a rare drop, okay. But to have it be a very rare drop off of an uncommon spawn, from any wanderer in the zone! With each day that passes I get more severe in my clearing of the zone. I pitty the melee that wants to get this item and has my luck. At least I can AE about 1/3 of the zone at a time. It is a fairly quick respawn but I am worried that I might accidently catch some level 13 that I don't see in the wake of my 30 mob train (and I have been carefull with no accidents to date).

I am paranoid that someone on the way to an adventure is going to cap the Ghoul of Takish-Hiz and he will finally drop the spiritual anchor. I have already lost one Ghoul to a passing adventurer. He said that the Ghoul did not drop the anchor. If it did and he looted it, it is probably best I didn't know. *Psycho Gnome jumps on random adventure with huge gnashing teeth*.

My question to you all is: Has anyone else had this kind of luck? Is it possible there is something that prevents him from spawning with the item if you have the robe (paranoia, conspiracy). Has anyone looted the anchor and complete the Phylactery who already has the robe/tunic? It sounds like he has the best chance of spawning in Oasis and it has become an obsession now.

With regards the ghoul - I camped him for hours and hours and hours in Oasis and in SRo

He spawns ANY time of the day.

I notice he only seemed to spawn arround 4 different areas but its safe to say just kill everything north of the Gypsies (in Oasis)

I killed 15 of him - several dropped those friging useless gems

15th one dropped the goods.

I was cursing it every day and it took ages but he does drop it - keep going guys

We need more people working on the Mana Crystals - too many people disaffected with the base reward it seems though

Took me over 10 cumulative hours of camping to finally get the anchor. First time was 12am game time and dropped a raw tunic, second time was 9am and dropped nothing, third time was 11pm and dropped the anchor, the gem and a rune. All three times got him in the N Ro part of the dessert, and not close to the ocean.

The robe is light purple in color and does have nice patterns.

The ghoul?

I've done three runs of 1 hour each in all 3 zones and I still don't see this ghoul. Does he have the normal graphics of a ghoul?

Only new mobs I've seen are the special zombies in NRO that I've never seen before. Instead of "a zombie" its like "a dehydrated zombie". Don't see anything else special in Oasis or SRO.

Whats the point of a quest when not is the mob very rare, but the loot is very rare.

As for farming the areas, I would Tflux every mob I could find, run to one spot and then PBoAE them. Kept doing this for the full hour and then switch to the next zone and do it over. Still no luck

The mob look like a regular ghoul, so ghouls are your primary targets (if you don't have track).
The drop is not rare, some people might have been unlucky but from personnal experience and some posts here it looks pretty common to me. Compare it to Shrunken Goblin Earring, that is a rare mob / drop.
