Oracle Quest - Tradeskill parts

Thanks for the advice - I moved to Oasis, and got 2 spawns in about 6 hours. Both were way up North, close to the zone to N. Ro. The 2nd one dropped the anchor for me - so I guess I should consider myself lucky! I camped S. Ro for close to 10 hours and didn't see him spawn at all.

As far as I can tell, he is NOT on the same spawn table as the other rares in the zone. I think, unlike Cazal, "a mad-man", and other cycle named, he just has a chance to spawn at certain spots.

Hand Ins and the Tunic

Hi all.
I handed in all the books to the Assistant and got the Token of Service. I went to the Halfling on Aviak island to hand in the Token of Service and a MQ Warrior BP from Thurgadin ..... and nothing. the npc said he didnt need the BP and gave it back to me. He also DID NOT give back the token. what gives? I have read here that other people have done it this way. I am beginning to have my doubts. I am currently waiting on my petition to be answered. Maybe I can get my token back at least.

OK well I tried Identifying the Mana Crystals and both of the Phylactery (s) - nothing useful - Item Lore for both is just the same as their names.

The suck - ahh well back to random combines. It kind of sucks there are no hints that we have been given or found

What skill could we use possibly to further the quest - Fishing - Research?

Completed Tunic and Phylactery late 11/17/03 evening. I used Palatable Cloudy Mana, so that definitely works (and saved alot of pp). The quest text doesn't refer to any specific kind of the palatable mana, so I figured it was worth a shot. It was.

Tradeskill items to check:

We need someone to try and make the Phylactery using Viscous and Clear palatable mana.

Also, if someone has a spare Tome of Miragul (ha!), please try combining a Palatable XXX Mana with the Mana Crystals in all tradeskill containers, especially a brew barrel. This might be a way to recharge the mana vial, though it's one heck of an irritant if that's the case.

Well, the assistant mentions about "making your own adjustments" to it, so perhaps it's a tinkering combine, maybe one that involves the mana crystals and some tinkered parts that's a no fail combine (anyone can tinker, only gnomes can get skill ups making things)


This to me makes the most sense (at least to me), where else would you make changes to a potentially powerful magical item ?


I really hope they will seperate the tradeskill part from the book turn ins.

I'm not certain, but I think that the assitant's comment about adjustment is pertaining to the Soul Clasp and the Dark Phylactery. Who knows, it's possible it is another twist in the journey, but my first assumption would be that =)

No, I'm almost certain that that's not it. He says that after you hand back the dark phylactory, so obviously he is saying that since you don't want his adjustment (phylactory to dark phylactory), then here's the original back to modify it yourself somehow.

I highly doubt it will involve a tinker. Putting in a race only combine would get people by the masses to spam hatemail to Sony.

But perhaps combining it in a tinkerer kit anyway is the way?

I still need to get smithing up to finsih the tradeskill part, or I'd try myself.

would the items...phylactery and mana crystals have to be tradeskill flaged in order for them to be used in tradeskills or is that asking for too much =/

Technically yes, but a lot of the items in this quest aren't flagged for tradeskill use, but they are none the less. Only time will tell I guess...
