Maybe this is more of a Primal Scream, but hey...

Going on about 8 total hours at the bloodfiend camp, each time with a full or near-full group of 65s, so the PH dies usually within a minute of spawning, and I haven't even SEEN the bloodfiend.

Three or four spawns of Toxiferous, at least a couple each of the Tae Ew Hunter and the enraged tiger raptor, and a handful of other random named, but through probably 20 or 25 cycles of the bloodfiend camp, not a nibble.

Everyone else I've talked to saw him on average every 2-3 hours, maybe 4...I guess the RNG doesn't like me. Well, /rude RNG...

So just to be clear: As soon as you hand in Velketor's Spellbook, you receive both the Decorated Box and the Token of Service?

The "what way" prompt only gives you a speech reply, not any items?


Correct. The box and then the token are deposited into your inventory when you turn in Velk's spellbook. If you do not have enough inventory room, you might end up with something on your cursor.

An enchanter CAN solo the bloodfiend camp if you can survive one necro dot. It got really boring clearing all the mobs so i just cleared the PHs. The safe spot near his room is at pos 50, neg 200. I would summon a pet, buff it with haste and NDT. Pacify everything in the room and pull the PH, (either a disciple or warder) with slow. That way you have enough aggro that even if they cast on you first they will run to you even if pets attacking. I would dot them with torment of scio, strangle, and asphyxiate and just let pet kill them with me tanking with arcane rune. Warders didnt have anything special about them, but the disciples did, when they got to 60 I would refresh dots and at 50 chain stun them so they wouldnt heal. When bloodfiend spawned, I pacified room and pulled him with slow. At that point he casted ignite blood on me. I mezzed him (with rapture to be safe) Tash, and chain sieved him til mez broke. Then dispelled him completely and chain casted mana sieve / insanity. Went down really easy and dropped the book.

Then I retract my statement earlier about it being unsoloable. I am unable to kill off the disciples due to running out of mana, and I have a decent amount of mana. My pet with Vallon's on him just is not able to kill fast enough before I go OOM, even with chain stuns, and if I stop the stuns once I have to start them to refresh DoTs, the health zooms back up. That's why I insisted on bringing someone else down with you, it's just so much more doable that way.

Even worse is when the other spots nearby are healers and they are in range to start healing the lizard I'm beating on, although admittedly I don't think I yanked him out far enough in fear of getting aggro I didn't want from behind me.

Hmm, need confirmation of this please......It is clickable from inventory for those classes, but is there a hybrid or pure melee with it who can still click from inventory....or is that a no go?...

Phylactery dovetail??

I have obtained the phylactery.
I have tried to hand just the phylactery to Sir Artanis in FP and he hands it back.
...
I am wondering if anyone has tried to hand the phylactery and the mana crystals and the token of service (or a combination thereof) to anyone?

Nope, you can't do that. You have to turn in the corroded breastplate in Thurgadin, I believe, for the corresponding chest item. Most likely, you'll want the cleric breastplate, as none of the other plate class breastplates appear to work. You then use that chest item with the Token of Service to get your Robe or Tunic.
