anyone worked out a spawn pattern for the ghoul ?

Got ghoul nr 18 now (within a 35 hour camp altogether).

Still no anchor drop.

guess im just unlucky but any info on how to increase spawn numbers of that stupid mob would be appreciated.

Hell, that's pretty good :P In my own roughly 35 hours of camping the Ghoul I'd only seen him 3 times >< Got the anchor though

The fact that they didnt talk about this in the patch message is really upsetting

Its probably going to be weeks or even months before this quest is ever finished. I really thought they would fix it with this patch

GM_01 says "Dartain is in game, he's just been changed. Of course, the Stone silk recipe is working correctly"
GM_01 tells Dev_01 "Heh they fell for it again, you've got another week to get that quest finished"

Still working on it in the hopes that it really is working....but given the amount of effort we've all put into it....and SOE's past history of implementing unfinished zones/broken quests and swearing that they work up until the point where they finish them, and then say 'oops'.....the signs are kinda looking bad.... In general, if a GM says something is broken, its broken. If they say its working, its either a) working, b) broken and they don't know it, or c)broken and they don't want to tell us.. so, only 33% chance that they're accurate

Up to 18 ancient constructs killed by me personally (thats what, 50+ total reported kills now?), no book....looking like the Kael server tome drop was either a)hoax, or b) a screwy Ubisoft server drop

As an Ex Officer of First Fist of Light, I will ashamedly tell you Banegrivm, its founder, was a complete fruitcake, in game and out. He harassed and stalked women online, and was nothing short of a sexual predator obsessed with playing out his dark fantasies in-game.

After long, hard searching, and half the server scouring the Hole and inventories for me, my conclusion is it isn't dropping. 3/4 of Druzzil Ro knows I'm offering the free Multiquest of the resulting tunic / robe for it, which is nearly as good, except AC-wise, as the BPs that drop from the Elemental gods. If it was dropping SOMEONE would have brought it to me by now. I even offered to buy a free MQ and help work up their faction if they didn't have a Velious BP.

As for the newspapers, they haven't changed since Quest Troupe got moved to Legends server only. No more continuing, ongoing history and lore for us. No more fun nights of roleplaying, and drinking beer with Danak Dhorentath while picking his brain for lore and feeding his ego. No more listening to Firiona Vie prance about and ramble on about who she's going to smite.

/sigh Disappointment is SOE's middle name, not once in 4 years have I ever failed to be disappointed in them, their quests, their GM events, and their lore. Or lack thereof. Why should this be any different?

As a company attempting to get more money, they gotta keep their customers SOMEWHAT happy.

Everyone take 10 seconds out of your playtime to write something truthful and negative about the way they are handling this quest, in a /feedback. If you want to do more also email your GM.

If 100% of all EQ players told Sony they want a free horse at LVL 1, sony would do it. They gotta keep their customers, they gotta keep their customers happy.

The more nasty messages about this quest they recieve, they will be eventually forced to fix the quest, make the solution more obvious, or just start to hurry their ass in finishing it.

At least 2 people have said they got a Tome of Miragul to drop in the Hole from the Ancient Constructs, on the serverwide.eqtraders channel today. One of the reports was from Firiona Vie, the other I can't remember. Being busy with RL matters, I didn't investigate either of the claims at all.

Third drop confirmed, Taadieri (TM) got one shortly after those 2 reports, he's been the main one working the Hole over here when I haven't had time to be in there- dropped from the first Ancient Construct he bagged.. I don't know the first two folks that reported in, but I do trust Taad as a reliable confirmation, he's been working on it too hard to try to pull one over on the crew in serverwide... =)

Yes, my bad.. it was late, and my fingers were typing ahead of myself.

SK guild is fairly easy to clear with a group, but i've never seen anythign other than plate drop there (though i've never seen a bp there, which is probably just luck of the drop)... and i haven't bothered with king area all that much. Should have just been Kael, not kael arena.

And on HoT.. yeh, testing.. training... boring... it numbed my mind early on.
