also the slots on a vendor seem to be like an array not a stack

Basically lets say a vendor is full and you buy an item in the 8th slot. From what ive seen all the items 9-81 will appear to shift down one and a new item will be seen.

But from my oberservations the next item sold to will go into that "8th" slot and thereby shift all the items up again.

My bard on Firiona Vie vendor-mined 10 Jord meat for 1pp each, sold them for considerably more.

My personal best vendor-mine was a Book of Obulus for 174pp.

Rather a lot of temper components, some Blue Diamonds, few stray planar armor components, more spider and spiderling silks than I care to think of, whole lot of velium, quite a few acrylia ore as well, quite a few planar baking parts, pelts for padding and a few stacks of wyvern pelts, some 200-600 plat worth spells I needed and some research items. My best one over all was a 2k worth rune I picked up for about 7pp.

My last really good catch was roughly 4 stacks of quality pelts that immediately got turned into padding and several BDs. BD's below 300pp aren't usually abundant on my server so it was a good catch. Usually the first thing I do after a patch is run around checking the merchants. It's amazing what people will vendor sell and rather fun to process what you pick up by one step, and then resell at a nice profit.

On a rare occasion, I'll even see a trader in the bazaar sell an item for less than what a merchant will pay for it.

Yes, the serious merchant miner will buy ten junk items to uncover those ten hidden items to see if there's anything worth keeping.

I like to go around early Sunday mornings when the server population is low. First I buy the cheapest stackable items that are not normally found in that zone. Like feathers from Luclin on a East Commonlands merchant. Then I buy cheap unstackable items not normally found in that zone until I have uncovered all the hidden items.

Bring plats and plenty of empty bags if you plan to do some serious mining.

                Oh geez.. lemme remember

36 hobgoblin surprise. Bought for about 50pp total, sold for 200+ each
8 stacks LQ/MQ rockhopper hides. Bought for change in Felwithe. /cheer padding
20 star ruby encrusted steins. Bought for next to nothing, sold like hotcakes for 200pp. They were already fired, too.
                Countless opal steins, already fired.
                Tons of geerloks for 5pp

                The usual foods...
                200+ MTP (single merchant)
300+ HMP (single merchant) there were more even, but alas, my satchels were already rather full.

Centi hammers all over the place. I buy them for 50pp and give them as gifts. Shamen and beastlords love them; nice damage and some WIS too.

Recently I've been finding spells. In the past week or so...
                2x Spell: Chilling Embrace
                6x Spell: Shadowbond
                4x Spell: Thrall of Bones

                1x Spell: Yaulp IV
                1x Spell: Levant
all for about 10pp ea. Some go for up to 1k.

I am amazed everyone speaks about finding Blue Diamonds as if they are rare finds. Perhaps it is my server, but I can find stacks upon stacks of Blue Diamonds in nearly every city I visit. The Plane of Knowledge is the easiest by far. I've been making celestial tempers lately for the new Karana recipes and when I need a few Blue Diamonds I just pick a random merchant and buy them as needed.

You find pop spells all he time on vendors in the PoK library.
Most often the ones from Ethereal Parchments cause they drop like rain, and theres so many already in the bazaar for peanuts... before you get to 60, just start checking the vendor that is the Turn-in person for your class of spells, and see if you can pick up any of your 61+ spells for 5.25p each.

                        Oh let's see...

The catch that started it all:

113 Nightmare Arachnid silks on 2 traders in PoK, just a few weeks after PoP was released. This helped get me started on tailoring (along with the 30 Mephit bloods and 3 drops of pure rain found that day).

                        Then:

Ivory skull (quickly convereted into a nice helm which sold for 31k)

about a stack of immac steel (11 at one time)

15-20 elemental bow staffs (all at once)

a totally random stonewood sap, long before I saw any other Earth drops

*copious* amounts of iron oxide (when that meant something)

rune of coruscating (for sunstrike spell, donated to one of my wonderful guild officers)

several dew clovers, rare words, etc

a total of about a stack of storm ent saps (6 at once in SSeru)

a couple of stacks of fetid slime (13 at once)

an obscene number (ok, not really that many, but still) of crushed flame emeralds and crushed topazes

                        a pristine tae ew scale

Just tons and tons of stuff. A lot of the stuff I am keeping now for my own tradeskilling or donating to needy guild members (especially with gems and research components), so I don't make quite as much as I used to, but just for the thrill itself it is kinda fun.

Since I am in an always constant state of poor I bought them all and ran off to fish up what I need (got my fishing up in the process) and made a few bucks.

Always work on baking while fishing!

Catch a fish, use either sauce to make fish fillets, or batwings to make fish rolls!!!

Also use that time to work on sence heading, intimidation, foraging, or any other non-combat needed skills.

I had been stocking iron oxide and permafrost crystals for working on my pottery when they they first added idols. Had about 3 stacks of iron stocked (mostly found on ak'anon vendors) when they introduced the Solstice quest. I said screw pottery, and sold all the iron oxide at 1K each.

Best find: haze panther eye and stack of panther pelts

Weirdest find: a rez stick (2 charges I think) and the vendor wanted like 1,089,000p for it.

Best find for me is tied between these two:

Stack of iksar bloods on the vendor in the Kaladim bank.
34 Earth Arborean Fibers in the early days of PoP

                                Each netted me about 15K.
