Commons and Ro. So many uneducated people start as human warriors, and sell all the stuff in EC, WC, NRo, Oasis, and occasionaly SRo.

Sometimes I have good finds in Kelithin, Qeynos Hills, WK, EK (rarely NK or SK).

Merchants near Dagnor's in BB (lots of poison ingredients, bone chips, etc..).

Believe it or not, even in the Bazaar I can occasionaly find some good stuff.

OH!! One I forgot, Geerlok items have dropped big time (most are below 50PP). I'll but a few (2-3 of various ones, at the lowest price) and resel them for 100-150PP. They sell at that price.

At different times found two gold tipped boar horns on vendors, I think they go for 9cp each, sold for 11k each.

Found spinechill ichor twice(tae ew tailoring).

      Found a tae ew blood.

Huge numbers of silks of all kinds, and pelts, many hundreds.

Hundreds of velium blocks, bricks, small pieces. Acrylia, not quite as much. Bloodmetal, electrified copper, nightmare iron, etc.

BD, jacinths, black sapphires, quest gems.

Bubonian blood, dwarf blood, nightmare blood, akheva blood, iksar blood, froglok blood, sarnak blood(some of these go into tempers for making my ogre cultural), other bloods.

Essences of sunlight, tea leaves, tufts of dire wolf fur

Huge numbers of woven mandrake, picnic baskets, jumjum beer, some heady kiola.

Uncountable numbers of fish rolls and patty melts, some halas pies and misty thicket picnics, grobbs liquidized meats, mammoth meat, wolf meat by the billion, baking subcombines, etc.

Too many goodies to count. Mostly small, but it adds up nicely over time.

I have managed to gm 8 trades with the help of vendor farming, either directly farming materials for skill ups or for crafted items bringing in a nice cash flow.

The best single find from one vendor netted me all the materials necessary for a pneumatic ring of force plus 6 other unigue items from the elemental plains. At the time I made this find the value of the ring (which a guildie with jc mastery 3 made for me) and other components were close to 90k market price.

Typically all the items I farm go into inventory to be used in crafting useable or sellable components at a later date. I still have stacks of items i havent consumed yet from the early days after PoP came out.

PS: I currently have the 8 gms spread out over 5 characters so you won't see my name in the list of the 1750 club, but who cares, I am a minining and manufacturing machine. In actuality, I am about 17 points short of 2000. I am a big fan of good enough. When 240 skill is reached it is good enough. I still have 3 of 8 skills below 250.

            Hello-

Oh My! Jaradis - you are breaking my heart! AND to think we are on the same server! LOL

We chatted a few days (couple of weeks?) ago about baking and fletching I think! (possibly as my seller alt - Pfenik)

Well - Good "Hunting" on the merchants!

Hey - that would not possibly be one you Sold to a merchant by mistake would it? hehehe - probably not - but it makes me feel slightly better. LOL

A ton of spiderling silks off one particular vendor.

Blue Diamonds off vendors in PoK two different times. The first was back when you could actually make a profit reselling them, and I haven't sold the second one yet.

A Centi SS off a vendor in Shadow Haven and a vendor in West Freeport.

Lots of Cat pelts of various quality (but that's pretty much a given in North Ro)

Several Pie Tins (PoK) and Casserole Dishes (Shadow Haven).

Unfortunately, I've never found anything that I could make a huge profit off of, like a Drop of Pure Rain, for instance.

BTW why do you mine AFTER patch? Isn't all the vendor inventories reset then? Perhaps I'm missing something...

                    Scroll: Spirit of Eagle x2

put the first up for 1k and it sold in 45 seconds, so decided I had under-priced it. Put the second up for 6k and it sold overnight.

The planar stuff does not turn up on merchants much, seems most people on AB are aware of the value of most tradeskill drops.

Hehe, I had been wondering the same thing:

What's the advantage of vendor mining right after a patch? Isn't that when all of the merchants are empty?
Quesci had a pretty good response:

Someone sells a drop of pure rain to a merchant after a patch and you see it right at the top (well, at the bottom of their inventory).

Someone sells that same drop of pure rain to a full merchant and no one will ever see it.
                          I hope this helps.

After a vendor's inventory space gets filled, any new items sold to that vendor get destroyed. So, after a few days of merchant mining all the good stuff after a patch, vendors in popular areas only have junk items left in their inventory.

So, I like to run around the evening after a patch and buy the useful items before the garbage fills all the available slots.

Is this a change? I thought they went to "hidden" slots.

A vendor has 90 slots. Only the first 80 are visible. So yes, there are ten hidden slots. But anything that doesn't fit into the first 90 slots gets destroyed.
