I'm currently at 2/5 on haversacks with 198 skill + geerlok. I think the RNG owes me a good luck run lol.

      new info

I had a bad run this time. After a wonderful run of 100 solstice robes and 6 skill ups yay  I am 199 now.

      (had a geerlok)
I got 12 attempts together and went 7/12 a little under 60% which is pretty bad since I went 7/10 when I was at 192 skill.

Just a bad RNG day for me but not a killer. Still selling em at 6KP and they go pretty well (at least faster then I can get the materials =).

You're selling solstice robes for 6k still? Geez, on what server? On Xev they go for 300-400 pp these days.

Aye, I sell Haversacks for 6kpp on Bristlebane, seems to be the server set price now. Also, I sell Solstice Robes for 750-900pp.

Currently at 6/9 on Haversacks.....I'm having lots of trouble getting enough tufts....blue diamonds are plentyful, just the tufts I have problems with.

As you get higher and higher in skill, these bags become virtually failure free.

I dont feel a pang when I fail a bd subcombine - nor upset at the prices reaching 50+ pp each tuft.

Since I fail so infrequently, I will stop at the gouger pricing 300 or 400 tufts for 50pp each, buy his entire stock, and /rude him for being the gouger he is.

                but 400 tufts = 10 or 11 bags!

sure the profit is less, but I can easily make and sell 10 bags over the course of a few days and at 250 skill, I have income coming from Ice Silk armor, other halfling cultural, POP etheral Swatches and more -

It's gotten to the point where I dont really need cash - though its fun seeing my bank account swell -

So I feel for all of you workign on tailoring at the 200 ish skill - thats when its tough and expensive, and you never seem to have enough cash -
But keep with it - You will be rich after you hit 250 skill, if only becuase you wont be dumping huge pp fro skillups anymore!

                good luck

                  Another run

I had 11 successes from 13 attempts this morning =)

My skill was 204 and I got a skill up midway through to 205. :P

this is of course with a geerlok. Now once I sell these I should be able to afford a skill up run to 210 or better. Then I hope to be failing very few

So here is my total thus far
                  I always used a geerlok

                  Skill
                  192 8/10 80%
                  192-193 7/10 70%
                  199 7/12 58% (what happened?)
                  204-205 11/13 85%

I began making attempts at Leatherfoot Haversacks at 212 + geerlock. I've been making them for guildies. With the exception of the BD's, 99% of all other components have been purchased in the bazaar. I've spent a stupid amount of money on tufts and acorn oil. It took me 2 1/2 years to get to 250 and I wanted to put my skill so some use so all I've been asking is BD's from my guildies. I got around 7 or 8 stacks of BD's from everyone so far thanks to large donations from my guild officers. I've had to beg, steal and borrow alot of pp to fund all of this but it's almost over hehe.

Out of a total of 97 bags requested by my guild I've finished 70/73 so far. With a 250 + geerlock+trophy now.

My guild is a heavy raiding guild. Due to a new job I miss most of our raids so it leaves me lots of free time to help out in other ways. I'm looking forward to EQ2 because it will allow many of us who enjoy the tradeskill part of the game to really bring more to game and be a stronger part of our in game society.

*edit* sounded like I got to 250 off just bags. I didn't..it took alot more than that hehe.

byelka, are your skillups there coming entirely from the haversacks?

                          Post no way

although 2 runs did get 1 skill up each

I get my skill ups on solstice robes.

Every 10 or so haversacks I sell I get together enough stuff for 100+ solstice robe attempts =)

                                Run of 10 at 210+GL - 9 successes, 1 fail

Sold all between 6-7KP. I've sold many at 7KP, but I seem to have been the first to think of making them on my server, so I made a killing. The market has slowed down now, guess all those monks have them now. I could still probably sell more, but I'm using the cash for a Solstice Robe PLing session. In all, I've made about 140KP from haversacks. Big up to Karana for that

BTW, somebody asked about cost - cost is on average 1600KP per attempt, assuming no fails and assuming you forage the tufts. BDs sell for about 400KP on AB. So that's not a bad markup
