If you forage all the tufts, you can buy everything else for about 1500pp assuming you pay around 300pp per BD. I think the threads are about 200pp a pop off the vendor in Thurgadin. This of course assumes no failures on the precombines.

But .. as everyone knows the bigdeal/bottleneck isnt the blue diamonds or threads. *mutters* Dammn tufts.

      Tuft!

      Ya those dang tufts

No one seems to know what they are for and destroy them all the time
      :?

Or they think they are worth way more then they are :x

I have one person trying to sell em for 200PP a piece in the bazaar

I am paying 5PP each or 10PP each if there is a stack or more and still I have to forage 90% + of my own

I am starting to get some suppliers but it is slow going.

tufts more then 10PP are not worth it to me it starts to cut too much into my profit margin. I would rather forage them myself. Any thoughts? what do you other halflings pay for tufts?

Anyone noticed if any particular zone/s is better than the others for foraging tufts?

              Kael, thurg

              From what I hear

Kael is the best followed by thurgadin.

I am getting all of mine in thurgadin rather then risk getting smooshed in Kael.

Most people I know just do the thing with the guild and whenever you do raids (Kael, ToV, SS, whatever) just make sure that you tell everyone that if they can forage, make sure that they save all their tufts for you. Then make sure that when the raid starts to break up that you get them all. Most times you can get anywhere from 20-40 tufts this way.

If you return their investment (I'm planning on returning 1/2 of my successes to guild) they become VERY attentive about getting those tufts. Once you have a raidforce of 35 people, about 1/5th or so of them who can forage who realize the harder they work, the higher chance they have of getting a bag better than Tinker bags just by clicking on that silly button... you should be getting 40-80 tufts, mattering on how long the raid lasts and how many foragers you have. It's like getting a bonus drop every raid. Most will go to monks at first, but after every monk has 3 or 4, it's free loot.

My guild raids 4-6 days a week, at least one of them being NToV. I'm hoping to start doing 2 bags a week.

                  Some good news

Here is a tidbit of good news.

In the patch today there is suppose to be a new field on an item when you click onit/move over it that says if it is used in a tradeskill.

If folks see that on tufts maybe they will stop tossing em out

Stop tossing out tufts = more in bazaar... more in bazaar = price competetion... price competition = lower prices... lower prices =

Failed my first attempt at a Haversack today at 198 skill plus geerlok...woot! hehe

I'm gonna try and get up enough components for 5 more attempts, I need to make some use out of pre GM tailoring before it drives me nucking futs!

There are 16 tufts for sale on some vendor in Saryrn bazaar for 1,000,000 each.

I cant tell you how much that bugs me.

                          10 more attempts

I finally got 10 more attempts together.

I went from 192-193 Yay a skill up

I had 7 successes out of 10 attempts this time!

                          so far 15/20
with a geerlock of course =)

It was late and I was tired but I still sold 4 of em at 6KP before I logged.

and I finally got the message well the tink bags are cheaper

I even had one clueless person think I said 61PP not 6KP he was a little dissapointed when he founf out

I know I said I would get 5 more attempts up before I tried again but I couldn't wait, I did two attempts today and went 1/2 at 198 skill plus geerlok. In total I'm 1/3 so far, st00pid RNG.

Will actually wait 'till I can get 5-10 more attempts together 'till I attempt to make any more.

Just a side note: When a guild mate of mine put his tufts up at the bazaar at a ridiculously high price, he was actually trying to get a tailors attention that he had enough tufts for an attempt at a bag. You might try sending the trader with the tufts for 1,000,000 each a /tell to see if that is why. Might make a new customer.

Okay I tried 3 last night with a skill of 186 on my halfling tailor. I succeeded on all 3, sold 2 and traded one. I'm not gonna test the RNG for a while, I'm pretty sure my luck was all used up, but man what a rush. So it's back to foraging those darn tufts and trying to gather components for more skillups.
