Yep, as of last nite, CT is no longer the revamped 55+ zone it was before the patch. I've got to assume that this must be some kind of mistake - maybe Rubicite will drop there again

The vendor in Thurg was perma-killed on our server, too. He was giving away free tempers. I know a wonderful tailor who swiped 200 stacks worth before they killed the dwarf. /chuckle

More Tome of Miragul

We managed to get 2 Tomes last night in the library (right at "J" on EQ Atlas map) down past the fountain Gorthag found his ancient near. The library has 4 floors with A Spirit of the Old City mobs in the rooms at the corners. A Ruined Construct mobs (PH) wander the library, they do go up and down floors as well. We found as many as 6-8 ruined spawns, it was hard to tell exactly how many since they do wander up and down the floors. It wasn't hard to keep the path up and down clear and keep all of the RCs dead. We got 4 ACs in a little over 3 hours, 2 of them dropped books.

This seems to be the best place to hunt, we didn't find any other place with as many RC spawns.

tried doing the final turn in, I had the robe from POG thinking it was a thurg robe did the turn in. He ate my token of service but gave robe back. I handed in a new velk spellbook and recieved a new token of service.

So I am confirming turning in a duplicate book gets you a new item if you lost one.

That would have been great news had this been a MQ-able quest.. since it's not, the ability to [easily] get multiple tokens isn't as exciting.

Just to confirm for some ppl ....

Picked up a corroded bp in Kael last week ...
Quested a cleric BP with it ...
Turned in cleric BP and token, and got a robe back.
And I'm a wizzy.

Seems the NPC will return the appropriate reward for class now, saving a run back across zone to Guardian to swap a tunic for robe, etc.

It also means you can broaden your search (if trying to buy a thurg/ss/kael MQ) to silk/SHM chain/DRU leather/CLR plate (at least, assuming the SHM and DRU will work like CLR bp) ....

dude, I soloed that thing back when I was level 30, 3 years ago~ you must be thinking of the one that spawns as part of the Ring of Thule, or one of the golems in PoFear or something.

As a Ranger, I just made a Druid Thurg BP and tried it. I handed in my Token and the BP and Roatin Teawel ate them both. I got the text stating, "Your promised reward" but no reward. I petitioned, but no response yet. So either a melee cannot do this quest or you have to have your own class BP! Be warned!

You must've been an uber lvl 30 :P Ages ago (Aug 4, 2001 - still have the logs) we did a little raid of 8 people, 6 in the lvl 30-45 range and 2 lvl ~50. We camped the bubble for a while, and although we could kill the Avatar of Fear, it was far from trivial. (dropped a Bladed Thulian Claws every kill for us if I remember right)

Ok guys, listen up. I talked to a GM about the mob eating my items. Apparently it is currently bugged. Roatin Teawel wanted all three druid velious BPs as well as the token instead of just one bp and the token. The GM however tried it with all three and it ate those too. So do not hand in your token and chestpiece until they get this fixed! The info was passed to the QA guys so hopefully it'll get fixed soon.
