Darn right I will be. Plus, phylacteries, according to research, are supposed to be worn items, ie attached with a strap, so you can wear it around your head, neck, wrist, waist, etc.
I still believe it will be a worn item, but not rangeI am 1 silk combine away from having it.

OK, so
1) they stealth fixed the book drop rate
2) apparently didn't fix the AWOL gent
3) may or may not have fixed the silk recipe (or we haven't figured it out yet)
4) MQ of the robe part is either broken or working as intended
5) no chain/plate user has tried doing the quest yet
This really isn't looking too good right now if you aren't a cloth/leather wearing caster - we still don't know what the final reward is, there's no known way to get the tradeskill parts without the books and now it's even looking like non-casters can't even do anything with the token (assuming the MQ feature was deliberately disabled).
There's nothing like a first rate, premo tradeskill quest which will appeal to everyone - and this is looking nothing like one.
No more EQ for me till they fix the crash bug.

Phylacteries in the past were worn around the head or wrist for carrying scriptures. However, this is a different sort of phylactery.
In fantasy lore, when a person goes through the process to become a lich, the soul is stored in a phylactery. Most things I've read illustrate phylacteries merely as jewels. However, no matter what it actually is, it is kept in a safe place.
The only way to defeat a lich is to destroy the phylactery. Otherwise the body reforms just like a normal undead. We've already been told it's a range slot item from Sorcery, the guy with EQRPG that ran the contest.Jaranna Lileath

It should be easy enough to test if he will take other bp types. First, hand him a random object and see if he will take it. If he returns it with the "I dont need this" text, then handing an incorrect item should get it returned. That means you could hand in a chain or plate bp (shaman and clerics), and IF he does not accept incorrect items, they would be returned if they could not be used to complete the quest. Of course, if he accepts anything then he would eat the BP if it was the wrong type (which is why you would need to do the test first)

Why wouldn't they be able to? This quest is for INT casters (who turn in their Velious Robes) and WIS casters (who turn in their Tunic / Chainmail / Breastplate). WIS casters get this:
Grand Tunic of the Oracle
MAGIC ITEM LORE ITEM NO DROP
Slot: CHEST
AC: 20
STA: +18 WIS: +20 HP: +100 MANA: +125
SV FIRE: +10 SV DISEASE: +10 SV COLD: +10 SV MAGIC: +10
SV POISON: +10
Effect: Flowing Thought IV (Worn)
WT: 0.9 Size: MEDIUM
Class: CLR DRU SHM
Race: ALL
Which, as you can see, is usable by all 3 WIS caster classes.
The question is if the other Classes get something as well (these being Warrior, Monk, Rogue, Paladin, Shadowknight, Ranger, Bard and Beastlord).

Those of you that have killed Ancient Constructs, can you fill me in on how hard they hit, HP estimate, want to get an idea of how hard they are as I've been soloing the ruined constructs for a while trying to make an ancient spawn
From reading in Illia's, there's one person there that mentioned that the constructs cast a 700dmg AoE, but when I asked on the eqtraders channel last night, everyone says that's not true
The Ruined and Destroyed Constructs don't run when low on HP, I also noticed they are highly MR but fire spells tend to land 2 out of 3 times
So if Anyone could help me out with
Melee Damage:
HP Estimate:
Enrage: YES/NO?
Runs When HP Low?: YES/NO?
MR High, How's FR?:
Thanks in advance, since I'm soloing down there, just wanted to get an idea of what they are capable of so am prepared

They're not much unlike the Ruined Constructs in all aspects you are curious about. They have no AOE. They are slightly smaller than the normal Ruined Constructs, so you should be able to pick it out easily on spotting it, if you have an eye for size differences.
We did about 5 clearings as well last night, got him 2 times as well, dropped the book both times (which was good, since we were set out to collect 2).
