    • Got my blood last night, all familiar DEs are PHs, so you clear the area near the entrance (the lake), the gorge between lake and GY area, and the ones outside GY, and wait for repops. No need to kill the DEs near the castle entrance.
This being said, i spend around 6 hours there total, 2 hours inside castle though, and know Kyros and some of his guildies was killing too, but no clue if they also cleared outside of castle. So its a rare spawn at least.

      • KyrosKrane, your write-up looks awesome! One comment, though...when referring to the vampire blood, you say "it drops off Glyphed Ghoul" in Mistmoore but you don't specify that it's the vampire blood you're referring to. Just a bit confusing.

We were focusing on the vampires inside the castle. Made some nice cash, lots of Morning dew, but no blood. =/

Anywho. Updated to here, and verified a number of things for myself.

              1) The Blood-Lacquered gem requires lacquer in both a normal and Planar JC kit. Still needs to be tested in a collapsible JC kit.

              2) The grapes from the halfling are lore. That kinda puts a crimp on any plans to mass produce the mana vials.

              3) The epicurian halfling appears to be at least indiff or better to all -- he was indiff to a DE friend who's KOS to halflings, and amiable to me -- which is odd. My RV factions are ally with guards and apprehensive with the rest of RV, far as I can tell.

I've also clarified the text in a number of places.

                  (Sorry, couldn't help myself)

OK, so to sumerise what we know and don't know thus far -

                  1) All the books but one is dropping at the moment

                  2) The quest has been kinda fixed so that folks can get the correct robe or tunic

                  3) No cleric has tried turning in thier BP yet

                  4) No melee has tried doing the quest yet

                  5) Folks who have completed the quest and have all of the raw materials haven't tried all of thier combines yet

                  6) No one knows if the combines with the no drop components are no fail yet

                  7) No one has discovered any way to do the quest to make the tradeskill portion yet without doing the book turn ins

                  8) No one has discovered any way to get additional issues of the no drop components without doing another book turn in

                  9) No one who has done a previous book turn in has turned in a duplicate book to determine if anything will happen

                  10) No one has truely confirmed the halfing who gives the grape quest faction

                    • I can now verify that charming the Oracle allows you to do the quest, but does not give faction, BUT the Pacify trick worked. I had my enchanter pacify the oracle, i was able to stand close enough to hand the book to him, then hit hide, and then hit give, and got the faction hit each time. Did 20 books so far and am still KOS. You can also hand in 4 books at a time. Is the Glowing Torch used for anything? Or just sell to a merchant?

yes but his reply here was of no use to anyone and the ingredients are a total waste on someone like that.

                              • His reply was the first I saw that mentioned the new text and he also verified that turning in the tunic to get the robe worked.

                                So useful in my book.
