Can't imagine trashing a Velious BP - what effect did the caster ones have on them that wasn't worth saving?

All of the druid Velious and Kunark BP have a version of regen. The Ornate has the top regen but there's other bp out there with better affects. Since I replaced my SS bp only a few weeks ago I hadn't gotten to the point of "Wow this stinky thing is taking up bank space, it goes!". The thing with the druid effect it was 'own group' only. If I was on a raid, only my group would get the affect. Since it seems buff boxes get full so easily nowadays, regen tends to be the first thing dropped if you aren't a shaman or necro. Certinaly not worth hauling aruond in bags and probably some have hit the point of 'sick of storing'.

Not sure if other classes have anything worth keeping on theirs based on what else is out there.

Additionally I had read somewhere (maybe in this thead) that if you destroyed them the GM could replace. I have not tried this personally so not sure of it's validity. I'd much rather try that as a first step than spend whatever k to get a replacement.

Very nice summary. A couple of questions.

1. Why do you say the phylactery is a range item? No idea if it has been suggested that it fills a specific slot yet.

2. Why do you assume that the phylactery is for melees/hybrids? If it is no drop, a lot of folks who have been working on this could be very frustrated. Similarly, it might be for melees/hybrids but tradeable -- or all/all and no drop. We just don't know yet.

I can verify that you can do the wine quest, if you put 4 bottles in the trade window not stacked, and then you can either have someone cast invis on you OR, as a Wood-Elf druid I was able to use my hide ability. Just click on the hide then con him, and if indiff hit the Give button. I got 4 faction hits. I also verified you can no longer give 4 stacks of 4, you will only get 4 faction hits.

I also verified that just doing this wine quest does not fix your faction with the oracle. I turned in 80 stacks of wine, 4 at a time not stacked. I maxed out Dark Bargainers before I was done with the second bag. Dreadguard Inner & Dreadguard Outer did not max out, but I am not sure where I am with them. When I con'ed the guy you give the wine to, I was Warmly, so I am assumeing that he is Inner or Outer, not sure. Or is it possable that Warmly is max for Dark Bargainers for a wood-elf druid? I started out KOS to the wine turn in guy, just FYI, he was green to me at 65, so did not agro.

After I did the 80 stacks of wine turn ins, I went to OOT, and the Guardian and the Assistant were still both KOS. The Oracle was not up.

On the Tome quest, do you take a faction hit for killing the bartender? Also, does anyone know if the oracle agro's a level 65 if KOS? If not, the Hide trick should work there as well.

Also, I need a little clarification on the Tome quest, do you hand 70g to the same guy you gave the wine too? Or her brother? I thought her brother was the one that gives the note, or is the wine quest guy her brother?

Sanguine Tome

Has anyone looted a Sanguine Tome from the Tae Ew bloodfiend since the quest went live? I killed him last night and he dropped a Tae Ew Bloodletter's Sword, which isnt listed as one of his drops...

Oracle faction.

I wouldn't bother wasting time repairing oracle faction just yet, apparently they put yet another half assed quest in game, wait for a patch to come out they might have an easier way to repair it for paladins.

Tome of miragul is yet to be found, me and a few friends all time geared went and area'd the undead tower and basically everything else we could find for about 8-9 spawn cycles, to see if the PH garbage was true with dartain the lost, or if it was droppin off something else, no luck. We killed Keeper of the Tombs, Kindle, Echo of Norlav, Guardian of the seal, nothing, unless this book is jammed up the giant gargolyes ass the one that is immune to melee/spells(in Yaels room) I don't think its dropping.


It seems like the sanguine tomb is gone as well, friend has spent a total of 40-50 hours at that spot and has had no luck.

Cant you get a chanter friend to charm the oracle for the turn in? Or is he uncharmable?

KyrosKrane: correction and updates to your guide, the stone spider is actually a named, has place holders (50/50 chance to pop to my knowledge), is indeed on a 24 minutes spawn timer, is immune to root (probably snare as well) and runs away to nearest sol A zone out at around 20% life. Doesnt always drop the silk as stated, but often enough (2 times out of 3 kills for me).

Killed him last night, and he dropped the book the first time.

Total time in CT maze: Two hours, and wasted the first hour doing the north half of the maze until I found out he's got a single room he can pop in. The moment we concentrated on that room, he popped on us.

I'd double check that your friend was in the right spot.

Thats reassuring. When I killed him last night and he dropped that sword, I was worried that the sword was replacing the book now on his drop table.... hehe Looks like I know where I'll be spending my spare time.... 5/7ths the way there... Sanguine Tome and History of Di'zoks all I got left. Picked up the Tome of Miragul for 2500 plat on Sunday in bazaar, Velks book for 11k, Firebone book for 4k, and solo'd Estrella for her journal... hehe
