New Oracle Quest

I seem to recall this was to be a quest even the non tradeskillers could complete. Given the fact that there are 5 different palatable vials and a sugar given by assistant is used in recipe, I would think it safe to believe that there is another means to get the things the assistant hands.

So, one way to obtain stuff to do the quest is hand in the books. Another way might be to make those same drops via tradeskills, no?

As for the other guy eating the robe/tunic/breastplate, maybe it's a MQable quest now waiting for other stuff to be handed in to complete?

few camps so far:

- Allizewsaur (OOT): 6 min repop, has PH (some gobelin, didnt see him tho) dropped gem 1/2 kills
- stone spider (SolB): 24 min repop, has PH (50/50 chance it seemed), dropped silk 2/3 kills
- phase spiders (DN): killing those near zone in, they dropped silk around 1/5 kills

The fact that he ate them means he can at least do something with the item. Otherwise he would have returned it, saying he can't use it.

Amen to that. I cannot find Dartain to save my life- our party ate two deaths learning the area, but no luck whatsoever in getting things done. Dartain was nowhere to be found. Anyone?

I am a bit confused with Dartain as well. He's not on Ilia's Bestiary, which means one of two things:

1) He doesn't exist anymore, or
2) he just is never up when people who submit info to that site are there.

However, when I brought up Dartain's absence from the Hole's new bestiary, Sorcery, one of the guys in charge of EQ RPG, said that he checked with SOE and the Tome is indeed on the drop table, but they wouldn't say what actually dropped it.

A lot of things are now untrackable in The Hole- revamped. I cannot track Guardian of the Seal, even standing next to him. I also suspect Mr Jaeil the Wretched is no longer trackable, making it 100% more of a pain in the butt to finish ranger epics. I do not recall if I saw this guy on track or not

I will be dragging a L 65 time geared group in there soon, I will let you know if I find him, and what his loc is. It drops somewhere in there, hopefully someone looks back and assists us. =)

So looks like we need 200+ ? 250+? skills to do all these? Back to AA'ing, sigh. Still need Tailoring!

PS~ Bookstores like Barnes and Noble usually have a little cafe, or couches you can sit down on. I reccommend anyone with some time on their hands, and unwilling to pay whatever $30 / $40 for the MMORPG GM's handbook guide thing read up and see if there are any more clues. If I can't get the group together tonight, that's where I'm headed.

Managed to farm a couple phase spiders silks earlier.. took about 15 kills to get 2 of em. The combine *is* trivial at 235 skill, so guess that narrows it down a bit.

Been looking for the books for sale in Bazaar on A'Ro, but only one I've seen has been the History of Di'Zok.. snagged it for 2k. Time to call in some more favors to drag peopleto the Hole and CT (as if getting help with Grimel stuff wasn't bad enough)

There are no more hints. The fiction covers Arrialla's meeting up with Sir Artanis ("I received your summons."), then getting off the boat at Sister Isle and using her air elemental form to go across the water to the island with the Oracle.

Then she talks to the Oracle and the dialogue I posted is done.

And that's it.

The rest is up to us.

say, if those new items are in database, shouldnt the end items also be in it? Grand robe/tunic of the oracle and philactery?

Dartain on maps

I have the maps from www.eq-toolbox.com and it shows the location of Dartain on it. He is located in the tower just before you take the left to go down where Yeal used to be. When you go past the first archway through the wall if you take a left right away and go around to the back there is a door that goes down into the tower basement.

I went down there today, on Fennin Ro, and there was no Dartain down there. The Rocks that used to look like a door are no longer closed so a rogue is not needed anymore appretently.

I'm guessing he's a long spawn, triggered, or was takin' out of the game when the zone was revamped. If this is the case, welcome to a new broken quest.

I just finished the robe part of the quests. I finished about 30 minutes behind another enchanter on our server. That enchanter did their turn in and got the Tunic reward instead of the Robe reward.

I did mine and got the Robe reward.

The only thing we can think of is that some druid/cleric/shaman turned in their Velious BP without doing the six books and receiving the seal thus borking her turnin.

Anywho...here are the results for the robes. Going to go and work on the Phylactory which I have heard is the tankish-type reward requiring tradeskills to do.

Been DB crusin at Magelos and would just like the say the Spiritual Anchors inventory gfx is a flower, so might be used for baking or brewing if used in this quest.


Details please on robe, is it just turn in the books than the halfling dude will give you grand robe?
