Trying to get another Tome of Miragul would be huge timesink if you lost your sugar on failed combine.

I turned in all the books and got to the end. The assistant then says to look for an nPC named raotin teawel on an island somewhere nearby where you would acquire a robe or tunic of Kael, Skyshrine or Thurgadin manufacture. I logged in my ranger and tracked all over velious and didn't find this person. I checked iceclad, ww, ew, cs, sg, skyshrine, tofs. i gave up after a while because I figured that sony messed it up again and forgot the npc at the end like the woodie crown. sigh. i just bought the last book last night and now icant even turn ths things in at the end.

did you check the island between Iceclad and North Ro? It's a ways out there and I don't think track has that big a radius even for a ranger

Just out of curiousity ... but wouldn't this NPC be located in the Ocean of Tears as well? Did you check the Ocean of Tears?

Are you sure he didn't say you needed to turn in the velious quest robe or tunic to the npc on a island near the Oracle's ,since those items need to be turned in to get the new one?Would help if we had a log of what was said.Haven't had the time to finish getting the rest of the books myself yet.

It's called "Shissar Hide Tome", MAGIC, LORE, NO DROP and has no stats. If the known use for this item has evaded me, I apologize for this post.

That thing has dropped forever - the write up on it doesn't list a quest, but if memory serves, there is some minor quest that goes with it - I've seen it drop several times while camping the area that the death shroud drops - it's only rare to uncommon.

There's a little subquest for the 'grapes that can be grown only by the halflings of Rivervale'.

@#$% - does anyone know if this NPC is indifferent to everyone, or will us darkies have to spend the next five months killing goblins and orcs?

My guess is that the Precious Garnet will be used in a Jewelcrafting combine.

I agree on the Garnet - the anchor will most likely be smithing so the question is, will the last item be baking or spell research - I'd have to guess spell research since it's a Journal and that seems to make the most sense for the tradeskill to make it with.

Dartain the Lost

Can anyone confirm where this guy is supposed to be at? I've gone through every rock the hole with a SoS rogue, cannot find this "secret rock" that supposedly leads to the area where Dartain hangs out at.

By the way the new area around yael is very neat looking now, has lost adventurers all splattered over the floor with epics in hand(even squirmed the halfing through the door behind yael to see if something had changed and no Dartain wasn't there either!)

Raotin Teawel is on Aviak Island in OOT, loc p2190 p4238, green to 64, halfling.

*edit: not responding to hails, must need que or something, maybe only those that have turned in all books, etc.

Anyone know if the dwarf and gnome on the island that talk about a blade with runes has to do with warrior epic? EQAtlas doesn't have them on the OOT map. The dwarf wants keg of vox tail or something plus 2 rebreathers.

i did not complete book portion, but gave raotin my rowyl's chestguard of nature, and he happily ate it.
he cons amiably, and has not responded to anything.

Well I can confirm that the stone silk drops on the obvious source off the stone spider in sol b. It is no drop but not lore or magical.
