    -Blacksmithing Mastery
This ability reduces the chance of failing blacksmith combinations by 10, 25, and 50 percent.

    -Brewing Mastery
This ability reduces the chance of failing brewing combinations by 10, 25, and 50 percent.

    -Fletching Mastery
This ability reduces the chance of failing fletching combinations by 10, 25, and 50 percent.

    -Pottery Mastery
This ability reduces the chance of failing pottery combinations by 10, 25, and 50 percent.

    -Tailoring Mastery
This ability reduces the chance of failing tailoring combinations by 10, 25, and 50 percent.

    Edit:

    -Arcane Tongues
This ability reduces the chance of failing research combinations by 10, 25, and 50 percent.

    -Salvage
This ability gives you the chance to automatically recover an item that would otherwise be lost on a failed tradeskill combine.

    -Nature's Bounty
This ability gives you an innate chance to forage more than one item at a time. Additional ranks increase the chance to forage a second item.

    -Chaotic Potential
This ability raises the maximum that your statistics can be increased to with items and spells by 5 points per rank.

I added the last one cause it'll help with skillups. Thanks again for reopening this.

Edit: Okay, I'm convinced that this came from a source other than Beta. I've replaced Fleeting's info (and she's welcome to re-add her personal comments). Sorry for all the confusion!

If this is construed as stirring up trouble, please feel free to edit.

If these baking mastery, tailoring mastery AAs, become available for all classes, I would like to see a refund in Enchanter AA and make JC mastery available for all.

Alchemy and poison obviously are class restricted but JC is not.

Again if this is dead horse-ish or offensive, please feel free to edit.

First thought: wow! You can bet that the 50% mods are going to be expensive, but still, 50% is 50%, should be enough to smooth out some of the humps in tradeskilling. But then I have think, I wonder how this stacks with Geerloks and so on... and what does it do (if anything) to the skillup chance?

It's not in this post, but looking on other sites I see there's also an AA on the way to allow a greater chance of reclaiming components after a failure (I forget the name now). Nice to see them adding some stuff for tradeskillers, anyway.

I thought only your Int/Wis/whatever determined skill-up changes. I doubt this will affect it.

As for Salvage...sounds great, but how will the implement it? Do you just get one item from all the parts you were trying to combine? Do you get to choose?

I'm sure all the details will be known soon enough. This is one I'm really going to be watching! (espcially after failing so many cultural combines lately).

                Don't forget:

                Secondary Recall
Use of this ability allows you to quickly gate yourself back to a secondary bind point that has been previously set by use of a Stone of Marking.
Do you think we get to craft a "Stone of Marking"?

Someone tell me how many points it takes to get enchanter JC mastery level 1, 2 and 3?

I see a LOT of AAfarming needed for these LOL.

I'm going to guess that with salvage, it will be dependant on the RNG what you get back...

As for the jewlcraft AAs for chanters...think about it...it should stack with these new AA points, doubt you will ever fail anything again...

You mean I could fail at making metal bits, and then click salvage, and get back the components for the Valorium Ring of Gallantry? That's a good AA. I'll take three.

                        Nice try, Nolrog, lol

It will probably be that you click this AA hotkey immediately following a failed combine, for a chance to recover some of the components of that just-attempted combine.

Hmm, I'd say there will be no hotkey for Salvage. It says that you get the chance to automatically recover an item, so I guess the check will be done everytime you fail a combine.

These AAs (and many more) can be listed by logging in to test server and entering the command /alt list.

I'm hoping these new AAs will be exlusive -- that one person won't be able to get all of them. That would bring back the need to pick a specialty.

Either way, it should reduce the cost of items just like the Jewelry version did once upon a time. Most people will be very interested in the new buff slots and new spell slot, so the tradeskill AAs might not get purchased right away. But the need for new level 70 focus effects should also create a huge selloff of old PoP tradeskill focus items for awhile.

I expect that the Salvage item will be specified by each recipe. And that the devs will try to set it to the rare component, but might not always guess right. It could just as easily be random, but I'd grumble every time I salvaged a water flask.

I expect Origin, Secondary Recall, and Teleport Bind in combination will add quite a bit of flexibility for both wizards and nonwizards. But I doubt tradeskills will have anything to do with the Stone of Marking.
