Plainswalker's Treant Laminated Bow

I agree with Aquendar, I sincerely hope this is not the plainswalker replacement. If it is I will have spent hours farming tradeskill parts to create at great cost in time and plat a bow that is not as good as the Stonewood I have replaced.

Item ID (per Lucy) shows the Plainswalker as 96943 and the Forest Stalker as 96942. Based on that info I would guess that the Forest Stalker bow is NOT the "replacement" for the Plainswalker as it was entered before the Plainswalker (lower ID number.)

But we find out for sure tomorrow

i still boggle at low dex, int ! and lack of agi for a ranger only bow, 42 delay /shudder

As a ranger, I've never cared about Agi. Dex for archery, Sta to help with the HP, and Str only for the impact it has on displayed ATK.

Int, Wis, Cha, Agi, these are stats I've never sought as a ranger. Not even for tradeskilling.

Wis is important, though, both for mana pool and for tradeskilling (for tradeskills where you can't use a preferred alternate stat).

With the patch on Wednesday we should expect:

- Changes in the treant-made bows, particularly the upper-end bows.
- The recipes will not be changing, just the final product.
- There will be new recipes added utilizing the Fallen Straight Oak Treant Branch mentioned in another thread.

depends on your upgrade plan, agi and str i found really difficult to max 365 at certain points. until tier 2 armour str was the normal problem. cha is always nice because of DI

the best bow imo until yxtta/feratha can be soloed by a ranger, tallon zeks in tactics

i finally managed to get a few sundered while starting my skin quests, made 5 staves out of 5 and with my 6 cams made 2 normal composite and a plainswalker. no idea what im gonna do with them, neither can be used for tribute

This is the only true statement.

The book will reflect the recipe changes. (though people that have already learned some of the recipies will also have the new recipies. )

okay, so... if you can... what exactly is this Fallen Straight Oak Treant Branch thingie? I've never seen one in Takish Hiz or Elddar. Is it something that made it live that shouldn't have?

I think people are reporting it from test.

Basically the ground spawns and forages had to have no value, so I added these items, which work just as well in the recipes as the drops, which sell for actuall cash.

The Fallen branches are most definitely on live. They're in the Luclin bazaar now for 75-150K (yes, thousand) each. As you can imagine, they're not selling.

Edit: for comparison, the finished bows are 35-55K each.

Took off lifetap, increase AC by 5, added Wis and Int, added two saves, added a type 7 slot and bumped the range by 30 to the previously existing bow and replaced the Plainswalkers with it as well. So, if you had this bow, you got upgrade. If you had Plainswalker, you got jacked.

More than a little ticked right now. I will not attune it until I find out if there's an upgrade path.

Looks as if the Plainswalkers got replaced with the version that needs the calming fluid again. I'm off to forage more ancient water to find out. If that's the case it kinda sucks that we have to reapply it and risk a failure, oh well, it could be wose. Apparently my cloak of the spirit stalker needs 70% more exp just to get back to the point I was at before the patch because I listened to the devs and didn't evolve it all the way.

As far as the recipe to get to Druzzil, don't know.

NGRETH - I realize you are not the decision maker on this, but this sucks. The Plainswalker should have become the Druzzil, and should have just made the changes to Composite to what it is now.

Wow, I got hosed on this one too. I had the better of the two bows and now have the worse of the two. How do you figure something like that?

I assume the bow is unattuned now though so maybe I can sell it and recoup some of the plat I paid for it to use to buy the better one.

That's pretty weak though, there's no logic in why the better of the two bows changed into the weaker of the two.

If you had the worse of the two bows, the CLTCB, you got a massive upgrade. If you had the Plainswalker, you got a downgrade. STUPID.
