- Gravity Flux and Extinguish Fatigue spell research recipes now return the more useful version of the scroll.
- Altered Infusion of Spirit to more properly match the systematic spell research system.
- Drop rates on template items have been adjusted. Ore will drop 15% more often, leather 5% less often and silk 10% less often on humanoids. Cultural drops themselves have also been adjusted to more closely match player population in each type of armor when it drops from humanoids. Finally the level 75 cultural drops (not template drops) have had their drop rate reduced as they were coming into the world too quickly. We will watch it and readjust it as necessary, either direction as necessary.- Fixed Seduction of Saryrn, Pact of Hate, Dark Possession, Flight of Eagles, Illusion: Froglok and Night's Dark Terror systematic spell research spells to more closely match the systematic spell research system.Forst Daldaen Darkwood

Hello,
Does I may have missed this somewhere but can anyone tell me the level ranges (min) for Porous Loam?
Level 77 is quoted in this thread but I beleive this is incorrect as it drops in Thalassius which seems to peak at 76. Also a Guildy has got it off an LB mob to 80.
Thanks

i hope the steamworks were giving the same value as gnomes as theres a complete lack of golems that can drop porous loam. i've never seen any drop in crystallos and when i did zeka i never saw any. oddly i've seen one drop in mech fort up in the blimp while doing reavers but its just way too rare.
now i don't expect to have 10 drop in 3 hours but we need more mobs on the loam loot table, theres not enough "golem" type mobs in sof.

I agree. It was stated that the drop rate would be monitored to adjust as needed in the future... as is, it still appears to need adjusting. I know Ngreth stated that they were coming in to the game too fast but if grinding in Crystallos for hours on end and only getting 1 Loam is too fast... then.. well.. wow he really doesn't want them in game
I don't really follow since player populations indicate a disproportionate amount of classes that use smithing made gear versus tailor made. Wouldn't loam drop rates need to be increased, at least in the appropriate tier 3+ zones, to compensate?

That reminds me - and I HAVE /bug reported this.
Why is TIN ore dropping off of stuff in Gyrospire Beza and Fortress? (possibly other places, but those are the two spots I REMEMBER seeing it).
Sound like a wrap-around problem in the metal tables making Porous and Tantalum a lot more rare than it SHOULD be.

i've always seen tin drop on more than one occasion in the gyro's, made me laugh but yes i do believe it is a error.

On that note, orcs in the Ashengate east raid we did yesterday were dropping Tin Ore as well. I'll try to find the exact task and mob name for you...
I believe the task name was "Stitch". I'm not sure of the mob name, since I wasn't the looter, but it was definitely one of the orcs. On a related note, "a reliquary guardian" (golem model) in that same instance was dropping drake meat. Yes, I'm filing bug reports for these.Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade

Funny I read the Porus Loam is supposed to drop more in Teir 3 new zones like Steam Factory on up yet Im not sure if there are any humanoid types in the zones. Like steam Factory what would be Humanoid in there ? Brownies ? Minataur ? Doesnt make much sense to me to have it drop mainly off Humanoid type mobs yet have hardly any Humanoid type mobs populate the higher leve Teir 3 zones in which the drop rate is supposed to be higher.
Secondly Why would you make the drop rate alot higher in the tough zones only higher end raiders can effectively group who dont even need the Armor they are used for other then to sell it for 200 k a pop. Guess its a Rich get Richer type thing. Making it rare is a good thing but rare for those thht done need it other then to gouge those in the non uba guilds and supper rare for those that just want make some armor for themselves to be proud off is a flawed system. Make it just RARE all around. No need to make it more common for those that dont need it.
