Crystallized Sulfur, where to farm

Crystallized Sulfer is dropping (in very nice quantities) in all of the old places it used to drop. I only tried two places (Hate and The Hole), but was able to farm 3 stacks in 60 to 90 min max. (Granted the two of us were AEing huge chunks of the zone at a time, but still a nice drop rate).


Glad to see this wont be the bottleneck any longer.

Yeah, it's dropping about 10x as much as it used to I'd say :P

I dunno, I still think its too slow. Was in FM for 3 hours and only got 15.

Considering you need like 3-4 a combine thats still pretty slow.

If you're in it for the profit, it's plenty. If you're in it to make spells for alts/friends/yourself, it's stil plenty.

Saltpeter drops in POI seem unchanged. I haven't tried corathus creep. I had been farming othmirs in cobalt scar for pelts and now they drop sulfur at a pretty decent rate.

Well, I'm still getting a less than fabulous drop rate personally (2 per hour - the stuff just hates me) but now there is a lot in the bazaar (at more and less reasonable prices) and some to be found vendor farming, so I'm content. Truthfully I'd really rather be buying it than farming it so as long as other people are getting a good drop rate, that's great

And thanks very very much to the generous donor who handed me a huge amount - I finished off all my missing spells and all those for my bf's bard as well with that. Very much appreciated!

the creepers in CC drop at least one saltpeater every time, if not 2. it seems to be about a 120-133% drop rate. with one droped every time, and 2 droping every 3-5 kills.

I havent tried Corathus but isnt there only like 3-4 creepers?

Drops a lot from Thought horrors in the Deep now, seem to be the same droprate as Yttrium now.

I have gotten around 10 stacks of saltpeter in CC while farming parts for the AAAA.

I spent about 45 minutes prior to our raid on Sunday and AEed one spawn of the grimlings in the caves in Grimling Forest and about halfway to the big skelly room inside AC before I ran out of time. Got 10 cystallized sulfurs along with a good haul of acrylia and cash loots.

got an even dozen in just under 2 hours from mobs in the hole. Wasnt farming them, just xp drops for my 53 war and a ranger guildie. perhaps 1 in 10 was dropping them.

10 acualy, on about a 15-20 min timer. so thats about 10-11 saltpeater every 20 min, you get parts for the AAAA, you have a chance for the mechanotabltes, there is a chance for the blade of the once bitten, and the nogglegropb fisslethorph sheild thingy to drop (iv gotten one of each every day for the past 3 days) that you can sell for about 4-7k rather fast, and you kill ~4 bug dudes for taloring the belts (252 taloring trival and used in the AAAA). Your also getting ~5% aa per clearing at lv 70.

the only things i see wrong with this camp is that there be no sulfur dropage, its a semi boring camp, and the reepers dont drop pinions, ball berings, joints, coiled springs, and carpeaces.

well I'm killing them tonight for faction and doing bellfasts tradeskill quest though thats proving annoying.

The saltpeter here is what PoI should be for a droprate as well and what CS should be everywhere it drops.

Not the greatest camp in the world though, everyone and their brother wants in on it.
