Crystallized Sulfur, where to farm

Since the baz is barren, alla has Crystallized Sulfur listed as dropping from quite a few mobs. Which ones are the easiest to get it from? Can any say which ones drop it fairly regularly, and say aren't named and such?

I'll kill a bunch of 'a spectre' in feerrott tonight and see...
Maybe check vendors in OT for it from 'a Sarnak berserker'...

Those two seem to be pretty easy both to kill and to get to, and rather abundant in number.

Isn't that the stuff that drops all the time in Halls of Testing in Temple of Veeshan, Plane of Hate/Fear/Sky, Karnor's Castle, and Sebilis?

It drops all over the place. There is no good place to "farm" it. I've found lots of it on vendors...usually 2-5 at a time. Over the course of a night, I could pick up a stack or more. That is just checking vendors before and after normal playing.

I have been able to find at vendors thru the course of my travels...its a pain in the butt running all over the place looking. I have noticed lately that the Magus in all the idon camps have had some weird stuff in their inventory...that is the 1st place I check for vendors. Hope this helps.

Yep, vendor diving, the only real way to "farm" it, its just a random drop anywhere from lvl 10 mobs to lvl 70 plus mobs, random, random, random.

Yeah...

I killed all the mobs in feerrott that might drop it and nothing. Lots of bronze scythes though... So, baz it is... At least the saltpeter is a common poi drop easily soloable at entrance...

Too bad all these patches are coming and resetting vendors.

Crystalized Sulphur is the lowest drop on the high-end gem table, so any mob that drops blue diamonds can also drop it.

i farmed it in siren's grotto. got 3 in 2 hours

Have many stacks from vendor farming, but the place I pick up most is in Gunthak. Levelled druid alt on the beach there and got 4 in 2 hours (lots of downtime with lousy manaregen). Killing non-stop for 2 hours on main resulted in 12 crystallized sulphur. Not bad when you are actually there for geerlok-parts

OT is not a good source. Killed dozens of sarnak berserkers and 0 sulfurs. There was only 1 gem drop from the shared gems table out of 20 as well, so I pray the drops are better elsewhere, the search continues.

No sulfurs present again on any ldon vendors, maybe 1/3 of the pok vendors, gunthak vendors, and pot vendors, and none in baz that I've seen in a few days.

I got a few from the spell vendor in ocean of tears. They drop off the cyclopses on the next island. Used to be a pain getting there cause of the boat ride, but with the translocater it's a fairly quick trip.

Hey great tip! I found some players actually killing in OOT too! After 45 minutes of slaughter I hadn't netted a single one, but the other playes in the zone had 3 for as many hours of killing, so it does drop. A vendor had a few there as well.

Not sure if this is game wide or just my server, however there is something definately wrong witht he drop rate of Crystallized Sulfer now.

With a group of Anguish level friends we have been clearing entire zones trying to farm the stuff. Out of 20+ hours of farming, we have been able to loot 5 or 6 total.

I went back to several places that I was camping items or PLing alts 2-3 months ago where my logs show me looting 20-40 per HOUR. Now we are getting none.

Also, the mobs that should have it as a loot are dying and have nothing on them at all a lot more often then I remember.

So unless SOE decided to turn this into a very very rare drop, someone seems to have accidently broken the loot / drop tables.


Filed a /bug and spoke to a GM, but given it took them 2 years to fix the drop rate for the Shaman Alchemy items I am somewhat concerned that this will be fixed any time soon.

Wow...where on Norrath were you getting that many? AFAIK, it's just random for pretty much everywhere. There's nowhere that's a good "farm" place.

Totally agree with Pelman. Have brought rss+ level groups and basically zone camped sebelis, the hole, innovation (good rate on saltpeter at least), kedge, dreadlands, karnors, CS, WL, and a few others places. Total drop count after hours of camping were two.

This was supposed to be a common drop......
