      wheeeee

Just succeeded on mine - first go ..

the artisan clay is no trade as is the unfired charm .. so best you can do from bazaar is to purchase all the components, and cross fingers.

Drop rate seemed to be as posted to expect but if anything off leopards was a little on the lower side .. was more like 1 in 25 mobs or so i got a drop though may be the RNG......

GREAT item .. though a little disappointed there were no additional effects like on the arena challenge charm .. accuracy, etc.....

Just made my Artisans Charm and I am very happy with the stats, even though I lack 21 points from the 2100 club.

this is a TRADESKILL charm... not an ADVENTURERS charm

But I definitely wanted people to have to choose between the two.

              Charm stats below 2100.

Finished charm last night...took about 2.5-3 hours to farm 2 of each drop. Took 2 kiln combines (first failed even with pottery mastery 3 and 288 modified skill).

My 7 main trades total 1980 (282.8). At that level, the base charm is still 204 hp/mana.

Another guildy with avg skills somewhere in 200-250 range had significantly lower stats (lower than his arena badge). This aug is probably a good deal for anyone over 250 avg tradeskill, esp if you have a decent aug for 2nd slot.

Apparently, all it took to get ore to start dropping was a quick /whine on the boards. After 56 gnolls with nothing, the following two quads yeilded 5 ores!

Failed the first combine on the clay, charm completed on second attempt.

It looks great with a pair of Slipgears installed

Would it be possible for someone to disclose the formula to calculate the stats? Since I thought it wasn't a raw average.

This is what Ngreth posted here http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/showthread.php?t=27556

                    average the 7
                    multiply by the stat
                    also
                    min(level,70)/70
multiply by the new stat for newer stat. (remember min level to wear is 51)

I made the charm with 200 in pottery and 0 mastery aa's ><

With a total of 1550 in the 7 common the stats were 135hp/mana/end. Now you'd think this isn't that great compared to the arena charm, but there are two aug slots. Get slip gear (50/50/50) and start working on the TSS Wanderlust charm, and it's already better than the arena charm. after a few Wanderlust upgrades.

I read the alleged stat calc example and I'm afraid I'm not following, maybe I've been looking at the puter screen too much today. Could anybody provide an example?

                      Ah never mind.

                      Baking 252 0.76
                      Tailoring 244 0.72
                      Blacksmithing 223 0.615
                      Fletching 200 0.5
                      Brewing 231 0.655
                      Jewellery 200 0.5
                      Pottery 200 0.5
                      0.607142857

                      225*.6071 = 136?

Be easier to say 225*(tstotal-700)/1400 no?

                              • Here's a weird thing. At least as of last night (Sunday oct 1), the Buyer's bazaar on Eci/Tunare still does not show Steppes Ore or Stonemight Silver, even though I know for sure that it's been looted on our server.

I had thought the system was that as soon as an item was looted, it got into the db for offering to buy. Then I thought maybe it required a few hours. Now I am wondering if it is bugged, or if it requires a patch to get updated?

I am pretty sure when I made wood elf master's armor on the old E'ci server, I was the first to make it and the very same night I made it, it appeared in the list of buyable goods in buyers bazaar (this happened on each item as i worked my way up -- god I made a killing selling that stuff at first :-). Was this just fortuitous timing and it could have taken longer?
