How's this for transfer weirdness. My main is a rogue...

This guy is shouting to the zone trying to get a transfer. I am level 45 at the time and this guy was about 20-something and he wanted to transfer to his brand new lvl 1 alt. I volunteered and he responds with, "I don't trust you, you're a rogue. You guys are thieves!"

Um - like my class has anthing to do with it? Frankly I hope the guy got ripped off by a paladin.

As sad as that is, I can’t say I’m surprised. I’m often amazed at how many people treat the player a certain way based upon class. It’s not nearly as bad in EQ as it was in UO. In Ultama Online there were constant class wars exploding both in game and on the message boards. Player X sucks because he’s a tamer. Player Y sucks because she’s a bard. Since anyone could play any class, and usually did, that attitude never ceased to amaze me.

Ah, perhaps, but that level of dedication seems excessive if you're ever going to want to interact with a LOT of other players...especially in situations where you need their help.

Hope it was at least on FV server. :P

Nope, good ole' Xev. I do play on FV sometimes though. Kinda fun over there.
