My exclamations of joy at reading this thread has earned me some strange looks from my co-workers.

i think the choice is good to do something such as this with the bazaar in effect ... sony knows that most all people make a char just to sell in the bazaar ... and the transfer between the two can cause many a petition among other things ...

who knows maybe they would make the PP shared between all chars as well ... that would all but eliminate transfer problems ...

yeah, there are side effects ... the one someone mentioned above about having one set of armour/weapons and swapping it between different chars ... IMO i would enjoy that ... since my main thing isn't on leveling .. but on exploring and farming for tradeskills ... one char might not be as good at farming as another

I think I would NOT like to see LORE or NODROP able to pass through these new slots, at least at first. Let's see how the world takes to the shared bank slots first. Then add LORE later if needed but NEVER add NODROP.

I also then would like to see a simple way to transfer plat to a common fund. This would be a simple 5th money button slot for plat that you can add to or subtract from with all your characters. This avoids all the customer service problems SOE must be having with their countless messages to all of us to "know who you are trading with" and "all trades are finale." They want a fix to the transfer problem and many players do also.

Will this make the game easy for some... YES. But, I counter with the fact it is a GAME not a JOB and lets do this and move on. People transfer anyway so what harm is this. and anything to make the scammers life harder I'm all for. IMHO

This was back up on Test as of the patch today. Worked just fine for me. I didnt atempt any no-drop/lore items to see what it would do, but it sure was nice to transfer tinkered items from my tinkerbot (parked in PoK bank) to my Trader in the Bazaar on the same account. =)

I dont think it'll allow no drop items to be placed into those slots. Doing so opens up so many possibilities for abuse (no drop item transfers). One specific scenario i can think of is transfering an old epic weapon you no longer use to another character. Why someone would make a second character of the same class is a whole other story though

But it would be way too easy to transfer really cool items back and forth between characters that in essence should not be transferred. Its why no drop was created in the first place. Certain items I can think of that would fall in the abuse category include:

elemental / ornate armors, pegasus lev clicky thingy, jboots, Vex Thal armors / weapons....hell.... the possibilities are endless here. I know my cleric wouldn't mind having my old vindi bp as a mega twink item heh

just created a char on test and checked it out myself. there's a nice big yellow text that comes up when you try to put a no drop item in, totally preventing you from doing so.

only lore item i had on me atm was a rat foot so i tested that, and it let me put it in the slot just fine.

i'm curious if the no drop clause applies to bags (specifically the trader satchel). i'm guessing no, since 1 specific thing comes to mind (warrior epic scabbard = no drop, transfer to another char, toss in a mage summoned sword, and voila, instant warrior epic).

I was about to ask about the trader satchels as well.

No biggy though - all this means is that bearskin backpacks are suddenly going to make a BIG comeback as everyone wants 20 slots of transfer space instead of just 16 - can you say 100plat each?

Just a guess ,but this if it goes live will probalbly be the teaser for the new expansion they have planned for the fall. Just like the additional space that LoY provided, IF you bought the expansion. Not likely to be a freebee

Has this returned to the test server. As a trader type, I am salivating in anticipation of having inventory alts without bugging someone for a transfer.
