    In the same breath, they said Iksar get tinkering? That is by far the oddest skill form them to get and I suspect is a bug.
    I found Tinkering Tools 2% mod to tinkering on a merchant last night. It was all classes and OGR TRL FRG IKS and a few others if I recall correctly. No DE though I had 200+ brewing JC pottery and baking on 4 tradeskill twinks before the AA system, now I'm having to reskill up on my main for the Aid Grimel quest. IMO they are trying to eat up all that extra plat floating around. Guess I'll have to level up my twink Monk now.

      LOL they put it up. So, I put a bag of MTP's in one and a bag of the ole Robe of Tears in the other. Left for 5 hours.

      When I returned, the server was down, and the slots were gone. I suppose I am lucky it was only some stuff that I had skilled on

      You get 2 extra slots in the lower right corner. What goes in is removable by all other characters on the same acct. Lore items need not apply.

        A GM said that anything that test players put in those slots are STILL there. They are in their database as being in the shared bank slots in your inventory. They changed the xml UI file so you cant access it until they 'fix' it.
        It should go live in a while.

          that would be great if brought to the live servers .. only problem would be the code for lore items .. and no drop items

            I would imagen that the boxes would be counted as a "Trading" window and you would get the message you can not trade, drop or sell this No Drop item when trying to put it in the slots. Also, it would coded to read a finished trade when trying to place a LORE item in it if any of your other 7 toons have it. Would suck when trying to trade one Lore item to one other toon if one has it, but everything else would be a LOT easier.

              As I sit here contemplating trading items from 4 characters to another one....

              And then later transfering 10 bags over 6 total charcters, I'm wishing they'd get this code ironed out! I could use it SOOON! hehehe

                yeah after i typed that i thought of that .. either a trade window ... or a loot window .. since both can display lore items that you have duplicates of ... but you can not loot one of them ...

                the no drop part would have to be coded in tho so it may in fact be a trade window.

                  I'm betting that as far as LORE is concerned, it is like a ninth character.

                  What I mean is, anyone could put a LORE item that all 8 other characters also have in that slot. However, no one with the LORE item would be able to take the LORE item out of said additional slots. Like it would say "This is a lore item, you already have one."

                  So you'd have to get on the original character without the lore item to remove it from the additional slots, or one character would have to destroy said lore item to take it out if all had subsequently got the item.

                  At least that is the way that I'd do it. Otherwise, as you said, if any of 8 characters had the item it could not go into the slot if it was lore which would kind of make the shared character slot irritating.

                  No drop probably can't be put into it at all.

                    I think the GMs got sick of hearing people complain about people scamming them on item transfers.

                    I'm more excited about the fact that my druid farms swirling shadows for my shadowknight and now I don't have to worry about transfering them between my second trader account. My druid also buys prismatic dye supplies for my shadowknight, since she can get to Stonebrunt much more easily and this would speed up transfer.

                    I assume you won't be able to put nodrop items there -- which is a pity because my druid would be a far more efficient farmer of shrieking substance than my shadowknight would be. Maybe I need to get my druid's smithing up so she can make my humming orbs...

                      UGH! This hadn't occurred to me and certainly would not be their intent.

                      I can go sit in a dungeon with a bank (Crystal Caverns comes to mind) for 6 months, never leaving to get food/drink/bandages/shuriken/fresh invis potions, never getting encumbered from the drops, all my needs supplied by a mule sitting safe in SH? No way, can't see them letting this slip in in this form...

                        I don’t think that would be such a big deal. For one thing the number of dungeons where you can hunt and bank at the same time is rather small. And for another I just don’t see a lot of people abusing it. Yes, I might do something like that if I were camping an item, but once I got said item I’d be off. I have far better things to do with my character then leave him in a dungeon for six months.

                          So does this mean we can now get two lore items?

                          For instance in GD I get a frost giant beard, lore, go to Thurg put it in the "extra" slot, then go get another beard...

                          Just making sure I read that right.

                          Sure I couldn't take it out of the extra slot, but I could use the 1 beard, discard it and have a spare.... without switching characters/finding friends/etc.

                            We can imagine what it will be like, but I doubt the logistics of the LORE and NO DROP items will not be known until the slots are live.

                              The current assumption is that you could get nine of a lore item.
                              Get one, bank it in the special slots, take it out with an alt...
                              Get another, bank it in the special slots, take it out with another alt...
                              Get another, bank it in the special slots, take it out with another alt...
                              ...
                              Get another, bank it in the special slots.
                              Get another for yourself.

                              That's probably an unintended effect.

                              Another unintended effect would be using mules to buy food for your main character. Or using that alt with high charisma to sell all the fine steel weapons you loot. Or just putting an alt in a remote zone like Fungus Grove or Shadowhaven or Gunthak so he can buy all the trade supplies for your main who never leaves PoK.

                              Personally I'm just glad I'll be able to buy and sell things in Bazaar without having to actually travel there with my main. I get so tired of running to bazaar to buy something and then back to PoK to do combines, then back to bazaar to put it on my trader, then back to PoK... .

                                While I love the possibilities of this for tradeskilling,
                                the possibilities for gear is scary.

                                I have several platewearing characters. They can all pretty much wear the same gear. I just keep a bag of high end armor in one of those slots, and never have to upgrade gear again.

                                No more hunting / farming / buying / making 1 item for each character.
                                Save up cash, buy 1 and let the sharing begin.
