I'm more of a baking junkie so i focused some testing on those recipes when i had a chance. a variety of Omelettes are coming our way along with Sausages breakfast of champions.

I hope the following is allowed to release now..
Its been a few days since i had a chance to log in..
but the basics if i recall for the omelets will be:
    2 Egg batters
    1 course salt
    1 butter
1 veggie - can be switched out for Grilled meats such as Tuna, Crab, and DRAGON!
    1 cheese

Edit: Both Tuna and Veggie omelets currently have a trivial of 275 with low stats.. then again.. any positive stat can be a good stat.

I played with the baking a bit also, think it'll always be my favorite skill. There are new baskets. I managed to make one, think it was a lunch basket. The stats are similar to the MTP. I believe the wis etc stats were +5, the HPS were same as MTP and 10 less mana. The books eluded to several different basket recipes. I admit I am excited about this, it at least gives us an option for something else to make that comes close to our MTP. I have waited for that for a long time.

There are new potato recipes also, baked and escaloped. On the vendors for beta they supplied the Rujarkian Potato for the combines. I sincerely hope they plan on giving us another option for potatos as I just don't do LDoN anymore and it's the only place you can get those. I made sure to feedback about that. Hopefully they add them to another zone's forage table or perhaps a ground spawn.

I think it stinks that skill levels are going up to 300.

I've done a small writeup about the expansion here:

              http://www.eqtraders.com/articles/ar...p?article=g293

And, no, Mewkus, ogre beastlords aren't left out in the cold. ALL combinations of race/class/deity will have cultural armor now.

If skill caps do go up to 300, that could have some interesting implications for existing recipes. Right now, you pretty much need to have the tradeskill mastery aa's to do the OOW augments because the success rate is too low and the components too rare to make them otherwise.

On the other hand, if you can raise JC to 300, the current 40% success rate without JC mastery becomes 90%. I would be willing to take the chance of making it myself with that kind of success rate.

                  Sorry, Niami, but the excerpt:
The new barter zone, while bogglingly immense, especially for someone as prone to getting lost as 'Mum is, is going to be very useful for tradeskillers. Want to trade a solstice robe for 20 spider silks and 10 plains pebbles, or something similar? No problem! Pop up an item that you have available, and list what item or combination of items you'll take in trade for it. As with the bazaar, you have to be logged on and in the proper zone, but if nothing else, it lets you haggle in your sleep!
This makes me think it works the opposite of how it does. In the Barter zone, if you want to BUY a solstice robe, and want to offer 20 spider silks and 10 plains pebbles for it, then you can set up for that. Later, someone with a Solstice Robe and a particularly low opinion of it's value (or maybe he just LOVES plains pebbles) can decide to sell it to you while you're afk.

Did I misinterpret what you said (are we saying the same thing)?

Overall, sounds great, and the little I got to see in Beta (had limited time )was visually stunning.

One of the biggest things of note is cultural armor for everyone. Yes, each and every last one of us. There's armor for each and every race and class combination in the game, that can be made by tradeskillers of that race. Not just one set per, mind you, but four sets, split up by levels (20, 40, 60, 70). Once you have the basic armor made, there are then symbols that can be added, specific to your deity (plus one for the agnostic sorts out there, as there can be power in disbelief as well). These symbols are basically treated like special-slot augments that fit into your new cultural armor and give it some serious extra oomph.
Are the DoN dropped items used in this armour/symbol along the lines of PoP-tradeskill-drop rare? As in years after PoP was released, there are still some items I have never seen. Essence of Discord rare? Are the mobs that drop the components single groupable?

I mentioned that cultural was "one of" the biggest things to note in this expansion, and now we get to see how many of you are actually still reading this. Remember that tradeskill cap of 250 on tradeskills? Wave goodbye to it, and to the 1750 club, and try a new cap of 300 for all the tradeskills on for size!
Oh dear! Will folks who chose not to purchase DoN be able to reach 300? Not sure if that makes me happy (better chance of successes on combines) or makes me want to cry (I REALLY thought I would never need to tailor again!). On the surface, I give it a thumbs up. I do enjoy tradeskilling and having a new goal to work for in that regard is not unappealing.

Any word on new Tinkering recepies?

Please SOE, let there be new options for skillups other than endless hours of farming in just one zone (PoI).

I have not seen any new tinkering recipies, and I checked the existing vendors in pok for new books. That doesn't mean anything, however.

On another note, the book bindings are in the game, but do not seem to have any recipies tied to them as of yet.

{tired gibber} I think I just misinterpreted what I was told to me on the tour, since I really didn't a chance to poke at this first-hand. {eyes cross} I'll go fix that now, before I go look for a handy pack to crawl into for a while.
