"It might even be nice to have it act like a skill up.

Right now when skilling up, I can get two nice things, a success or a skill up. Perhaps with some probability I will now also get a "recipe up" where I know the recipe well enough to scribe it. it's be another RNG run system, where you do it by hand enough and suddenly you are rewarded with a recipe book entry."

I've read all the way to page 3 so far, this is the best idea that I've seen. I like it, it gives you another sense of accomplishment and people will still have to go through the typical subcombines until they have "proven" themselves worthy to have the one click recipe.

    • Hey Maddoc while you are looking at requests since you are here could we get Lizard Scale Temper and Distilled lizard blood to stack as well?

My 2 bits as a 5 year player and trade skiller... This will be a blessing to anyone who tradeskills. I am working primarily on Smithing, Tailoring and Brewing on 3 different Toons on 3 different account. I have stalled out in Brewing and smithing based on the number of componants needed to do a single skill up worthy combine.

Smithing shadow scream is a MAJOR pain because of the sub-combines, with this new system in place I would be able to justify killing greens to get the substances... without it I would rather be Exp'ing as I am currently about 30% successful in the items I attempt to make.

      Just my 2 bits.

      • This change seems to reveal unknown recipies to the entire community as well. That does not seem right to me.

I will reply and ask to have only combines in the list that a player has done by hand before, I think that would solve a lot of issues. At least it will still require some knowledge of the player.

        • Maddoc's post seemed to imply that it wouldn't reveal anything unknown (at least in how I read it), so I'd *IMAGINE* that it shouldn't be a problem.

Mystery recipes won't be handed to you in a list that's ready to use (I suppose a couple might "slip" through the cracks, but definately not all of them ).
ALTHOUGH - like a lot of people I'm going to wait and see what happens. It *appears* that the UI team is aware of the main concerns and *appears* that they're concerned enough not to make a huge debacle.

Although intent and implementation *are* two very different things :P
