  • Trying to think of what to do with liver, and can't figure out how to "chop" it.

DNC in Spit and Mixing bowl

    Skinning Knife + Turepta Liver
    Filleting Knife + Turepta Liver
    Crab Cracker + Turepta Liver
    Dairy Spoon + Turepta Liver

Tried some other Liver recipes all DNC
    Liver + Wok
    Liver + Wok + Onion
    Liver + Wok + Onion(x2)
Liver + Wok + Vegetable Oil
Liver + Wok + Vegetable Oil + Onion
    Liver + Wok + Vegetable Oil + Onion(x2)
    Liver + Onion
    Liver + Onion(x2)
    Liver + Vegetable Oil
Liver + Vegetable Oil + Onion
    Liver + Vegetable Oil + Onion(x2)

Tried all with 2 Liver (used an oven for the big combine). All DNC. Tried combining 2 livers together, spit/mixing bowl..DNC

Still can't think of what is needed to make chop liver.

    • Liver is best served with a brown gravy and onions. Perhaps try combinations involving these? (Stuck at work after being away from a computer for 3 weeks --- wish I can help more)

        • Just to throw in a different idea, from real life. My favorite liver recipe is something like the following. Lightly fry liver coated with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Add to this tomatoes, carrots and onions. Simmer.

I have not noticed the combination of vegetables or tomatoes with the other items. And one could even put in a pot for simmering.

            • Maybe I missed it somewhere in these posts, but has anyone tried the pate recipies? Brandy + Plant Shoot + Spices + Meat?

There is a variation of it for panther meat, but I don't have access to the liver right this second to test it.

                  • ok using the Barter buyer window I'v searched for Turepta besides meat, liver, eye, the shells and eggs there are no other items listed. What Im getting at is there is no made item with Turepta listed. The liver does have the tradskill tag. So maybe the final item dosnt have turepta in the name. Not sure.

Bristlebane's challenge meat is listed however. Basically wondering if the item is actually Live or maybe were on the wrong track with the tutepta liver.

                    • Has someone tried the pate recipe using "finewine family brandy" ? It is also used to make a pate in game.

                      • I am pretty sure we are on the right track with turepta liver.

To obtain the finewine family brandy you have to do the queynos badge quest from 1 to 4. I hope our receipe doesnt involve that.

I think its time for a hint......

The Buyer window only lists tradeable items that have been 'found' on your server. If no-one has yet successfully combined it yet, then it won't be listed. For example, before my Shaman made quite a few of the recent Alchemy potions, they were not listed in the Buyer window, but within a very short time (instantly?) afterwards, they were there.

                          • I believe you can get the special brandy by handing Guard Finewine a dryad or potameid pate. The quest is not needed.

the challenge meat shows up on the buy line on Maelin and on some other servers so it's likely a few items are "found" automatically an placed in the buy lines even if no one has actually solved the recipies.

                              • Exactly, Bristlbanes challenge meat showed up while the turepta liver combine did not. At least with that name. Maybe it dosnt have turepta in the name. Nor pate, or liver. If The final combine was there why wouldnt the liver have been added. Any ways I wouldnt take the fact its not showing up as proof anyways. Just kinda a thing that makes you go hmmm Like half the collection quest mobs not up due to the zones not being updated for DAYS after the aniversary started. This may be the same kinda thing and no one would know unless it was checked.
