Just shooting in the dark here, but mayhaps Darknyss is onto something. Maybe add a bottle and try the combine with brewing?

It's worth a try, sure, but then it's still missing the primary ingredient: some form of soy.

Have you all thought that maybe the soy sauce doesn't exist yet?

        Wouldn't be the first time...

Ok. After reading this, I was interested in starting the quest. But I am having one magor issue. I am fishing for the tuna, but can not seem to catch a single fish under 6lbs. I am at 200 fishing. Should I maybe try fishing with someone not so skilled?

Yes. At skill 200, 6lbs is the smallest you will catch. I got a new toon's skill to 130ish before I caught my first 2lb Tuna. :\

Try hitting the merchants in Natimbi, Abysmal Sea, Nedaria's Landing, Plane of Knowledge, and The Bazaar. Shouldn't take you long to find what you need.

                  Soy Sauce

If I am not mistaken, soy sauce is made from Rice.. and since DON has oriental looking content, maybe it is made from something out of there? I have tried a few combines with rice and nothing works so far.. anyone else found anything new?
Also I am having the worse luck foraging for emerald oranges If I didn't want the dang things they would be on my cursor.. but no, I have not been able to get any in the 4 hours I have put into it so far Any suggestions?

Forage oranges in TT ... seems to be higher success rate ... and since only takes 2 oranges to brew 5 juices, it's one of the few items that actually yields more than 1:1 on a success.

Sadly, only 4/6 on clam cakes atm ... but that's my 200 + geerlok baker ... my 300 baker can't farm Ssra for eggs :/

Anyways, I had thoughts about DoN as potential sources for the soy sauce, since the devs really seem to have gone fullblown with the asian accent, at least in Thundercrest and Stillmoon .... lol, even down to the knockoff Laura Croft eurasian golems =D.

Bear in mind, folks, this is a GoD-era quest, as far as the devs are concerned. It was supposed to be fully solvable using items from GoD and earlier. Anything coming from Omens or later is unlikely to be involved, unless it's something they changed very recently.

We need to be careful in consulting real recipies. This is after all a world in which you use brownie parts to make chocolate.

so maybe SoY sauce is made from the various "swords of Ykesha"?

OK, what's a quick summary of the whole chef chowderly thing?

Is it only for rogues, or vah shir, or something?
