Wasn't there mention somewhere of adding recipes for the Taelosian Mountain Wheat that so far had no purpose at all?

Ok, I googled for Soy sauce+ingrediaents and found this article:
Chinese Cuisine
Soy Sauce Secrets
"He who asks is a fool for 5 minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever."
(Chinese proverb)
When it comes to Chinese food, few ingredients are more essential - yet at the same time more misunderstood - than soy sauce. We pour it on rice, use it for stir-frying and as a dipping sauce; still, the difference between light and dark, slowly aged or chemically manufactured soy sauce is not well-known.
History
Like tofu, soy sauce is made from soybeans. While the Europeans only discovered the soybean plant in the early eighteenth century, the Chinese were relying on it as a food source at least 5,000 years ago. The reigning emperor called it "Ta Teou," which means big bean, and declared it to be one of the five sacred grains, along with rice, wheat, barley, and millet. Nutritionally, soybeans provide the Chinese people with a healthy and inexpensive source of protein - two pounds of soy flour contains approximately the same amount of protein as five pounds of meat.
Soy sauce dates back about 2,000 years, during the Zhou dynasty. Originally a salty paste, eventually this developed into two separate products: the liquid shoyu (the Japanese word for soy sauce) and miso. While both are used in Japanese cooking, in China soy sauce is more important. Today, properly prepared soy sauce is made from soybeans that are mixed with roasted grain (usually wheat, rice, or barley) and fermented for several months. Once the aging process is completed the mixture is strained and bottled. By contrast, synthetically manufactured soys are produced in a matter of days through a hydrolytic reaction and seasoned with corn syrup, caramel coloring, salt and water. They lack the savory flavor of naturally brewed soy and often have a metallic taste.
I also looked and found:
Base for any Soy sauce:
Water, Wheat, Soybeans, Salt, and less than 0.10% Sodium Benzoate as a preservative.
Variants:
Tamari Soy Sauce (Water, Soybeans, Salt, Alcohol, Wheat)
Shoyu Soy Sauce (Water, Soybeans, Salt, Wheat, Alcohol)
Black thick soy sauce (Molasses, sugar, water, soy bean extracts and salt.)
And several more all containing a variable of this.
HOWEVER
I also found
Thin soy sauce, Kwong Hung Seng (aka Dragonfly brand) (Yellow bean, salt, salt, starch, water, and sodium bensoate.)
Could it be that we are dealing with some hybrid version? (highly unlikely)300 - Baking, Brewing, Pottery, Smithing, Jewelcraft

Well one thing i thought about is the fact that for one of the recipes we use a poison vendor sold item...and there is a type of bean sold by the poison vendors in AS. So perhaps some of the wheat flour made from the taelosian wheat? or the taelosian mountain wheat, said bean, and a few other ingredients? I have some of the normal wheat but need to get some of the mountain wheat just in case.

Will do some checking when I get off work tonight.
How long after they added the way to research spells did it take them to ADD the rune of zephyr?
/case rested
Has anyone actually asked the devs or hell brenlo straight up, did you guys make a boo boo?
well ok not like they would always cop up to it... ;>

See, the thing is, it may very well be in the game, but with no way for players to obtain it. I'm pretty sure Karana's Heartfruit Salad was actually in the game since PoP, but since some ingredients for subcombines were missing, no one was able to make it. The GM may have simply checked the items database and found an item listed there named "A Small Bottle of Soy Sauce" or whatever, but that doesn't tell us if there's a way for players to obtain it.Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade

The only way to avoid more agony along the lines of Karan's Heartfruit Salad is for one of the folks at Sony to head in game, obtain ingredients (or the actual Small Bottle of Soy Sauce) from whatever vendor (or mob that drops em) - NO SUMMONING THE STUFF, players can't do it, and it proves nothing about what is/is not in game. Forage for 3-4 days in various planes where it's supposed to be on the forage tables, hunt green or bright red mobs for weeks for the super rare drop - but obtain it in game without the GM workaround pleaseAleksandros Baelmah

And yeah I did see where they said it IS in game...
But, for the record, I was also told in game that the rune of zephyr existed months and months before they actually put it in a loot table ... SO... unless you have proof positive that A. The ingredients to make Soy Sauce, and B. That said ingredients actually DROP, It's really a bugged / unsolvable quest...
Which sucks, since I was going to work on it, but since its not working, and they seem to think that the whole problem with it is US, and not THEM, ya know they have NEVER forgotten an ingredient in a loot table, or better yet, made a fail give you back the wrong item.... like non stick frying pan for a no drop pot? ...
UNTIL we have proof positive confirmation from a DEV that the items are ALL available and IN GAME VIA LOOT TABLES or FORAGE tables.... It's really a moot point...

Okay, let's all calm down.
Yes, it is possible that Soy Sauce, or the item(s) required to make it, are not in the game right now.
Your best method of dealing with this potential situation is to /bugreport it.
Be sure to list the details of the quest, and be clear, concise and polite. Angry bug reports, angry posts, angry e-mails... these things don't help.
