Healing potions
Hey talking about healing potions...why not add in a heal potions as in a cure potion that rather then just doing disease or poison, it would do both.
Even at a higher cost - with the power of the raid mobs making cures so important, this could alleviate having two separate potions for many people. (heck a cure greater curse one that has a 5 min recast would probably still be useful).
I just think the new items should be used for multiple alchemy potions that just may be useful but nothing out of the ordinary. Carrying stacks of potions for certain event and switching out for others seem so unshamanlike.
just my 2 cents.
Cost vs reward seems to be dwindling alchemy wise, while jC wise I love it. But still think it might be too powerful.
Maybe I will see the Den Mother again...though I doubt it, it was fun talking on Tunare long long ago.

Currently we do not plan to make cure curse nor multi type cures in potions. We want those to stay with casters.Ngreth Thergn

This particularly affects the haste and clarity lines, bit it also affects the healing potions and a couple of others, I think.

They reason that they won't make a haste potion better than 50% is that anymore and it would totally invalidate the haste spells of those classes who only have short duration haste, but higher % than 50.
Everything else though I agree with Naz, no one in their right mind is going to voluntarily choose to use potions over going and getting the buff from someone who can cast a 2-4 hour buff or better yet have the buffer in the group.
Same goes with the heal potions, especially considering how even the low con mobs hit in SoF zones. There really are only 2 viaable uses for the healing potions. One is to suppliment the healing when something goes bad in a group or raid. The second is while soloing and you might otherwise die with the mob at 0-4%, and even with clicking the potions you could easily die depending on dmg spikes.
The cure potions, well I'm kind of of two minds about it. I can see why you don't want them, but at the same time a few that remove like 1-4 counters at a time wouldn't be game breaking.

We also don't want the multi-cure potions for another reason.
Most of the encounters where something like this is needed, its difficulty is based around the difficulty of getting a multi-cure. Making multi-cures easy to get trivializes the content.
Yes I know there are many other ways to trivialize content, but why add yet another? Additionally this can affect NEW content, not just old content like most of the other "trivialization" stuff.Ngreth Thergn

But clarity is definitely a sticking point, and is not likely to improve.
The healing potions though we will be considering.
Let's face it. KEI has been obsolete since about the 3rd day SoL was released. And to have it in a potion is overpowering? Sorry if I don't get it.Alchemy - 300/15 Baking - 300/12 Blacksmithing - 300/15 Brewing - 300/12 Fletching - 300/12 Jewelcraft - 300/15 Potter - 300/12 Tailoring - 300/15

In even normal zone xp grinds, they are insignificant compared to the damage the mobs are doing. About the only real value at this point for the HoT potions, as a shaman, is to recoup AA Cann damage, and it barely covers that.

Perhaps if teh Beastlords' spells did more than just boost mana regen, they would give up their objections. After all, chanters know that their Clarity line is better since there's a +mana pool component.
What if Beatlords spells included a +Clairvoyance buff (the new mod2) ?
That would make Beastie crack much more desirable than the potion, IMO.Master Artisan Maevenniia the Springy Sprocket Stockpiler of the really long name

Well, at least that implies a new clarity potion for the 2008 expansion.
