Pah - there was no excuse for these lower levels to be KSing this guy - it should have been perfectly obvious to them that this was an uber level pharmer and I'll tell you why.
The easiest way to ID and uber level pharmer is that when you do a /who of the zone, they are the anons.
Basically, if you're in an area that's good for pharming and you see someone who is red to you and anon, then that person is atleast 50+.
But why do these people go anon so consistantly that this is a great rule of thumb you might ask?
(BTW - rule of thumb comes from beta version of EQ when you could attack anyone who tried to beg plat or gear off of you. The problem was that not enough beggers were being killed, so a rule was put into effect that you were not permitted to beat a begger with a stick any smaller than the thickness of a storm giant's thumb.)
Two reasons -
1) They know that they are big kids playing in the little kid's playground/pool and they are somewhat ashamed of themselves deep down at heart, so they go anon to hide thier embarresment.
2) Players tend to harrass ubers when they are caught pharming an area when others are trying to (god forbid) actually XP off of the mobs in question or earn the loot in question with a level appropiate group (nothing worse in ToFS back in the old days to be fighting for your life for the uber loot that the librarian or some other mob dropped only to have some red anon breeze past you and swipe it just to resell it in Ebay Commons).
So, as you can see, it was readily apparent to these people who were KSing this poor, unfortunate, uber level, two boxing pharming team who and what the team was, thus, this was a deliberate and beligirent attempt on thier part to grief this poor little hydra.
SHAME on them for wanting to XP off of those level appropiate mobs!

I do empathise with your lack of desire to pay 20 plat a silk swatch in the bazaar (yup - that's what they've been selling for on Xev now that I need to work on tailoring - there's that karma again) assuming that you were actually doing this to skill up tailoring and not just gouge the tailors in the bazaar.
However, both your method and morals seem to be really lacking - at your level, not only were you capable or surviving the ordeal, but as was pointed out, your DPS is suck that it would most likely have been faster and more efficient to simply kill them one by one (my buddy's 51 SK has a DPS is so obscene that he's caused anon red druid and ranger pharmers to give up trying to out pharm him - at 63 you should be able to put him to shame).
You were hogging the zone and you were putting the level appropiate characters lives in real danger with your train - if I had a plat peice for every time someone who was pharming like you did got me and/or my group wasted due to either getting run over by the train or being close enough that a few mobs descided to jump the medding or low hitpoint level appropiate characters...
So in summery - nothing wrong with pharming because you have to, but keep it to off hours when you aren't taking XP/loot out of the mouths of level appropiate characters or if you have to do it during peak hours, play fair about it and take a slight efficiency hit in order to play nice.
Remember, these evil people who dared to want some of YOUR mobs are paying the same money as you are and have just as much of a right to the zone as you do - might does not make right.
