  • Aye, if you can't use them for swatches I'd just sell 'em. CDDs are too flippin' rare for skilling up.

I vendor dive habitually and with all the patching and server downages that's been going on my various alts have become filled to bursting with stuff to sell (A Meldstone last night was pretty cool to see, now if only I had Qvic access...).

My best bargain to date would probably be a /bazaar find though. Radiant Spharalite of Aggression for 15k. It really, REALLY hurt offering it back to the seller for my purchase price, who realized her mistake immediately after I bought it. She did give me 45k in return, which was very nice of her, and also offered to make me augs for free if I gathered the components, which is even nicer. Santa better be bringing me something good this year though!

    • 1st attempt, i waded into the pool...

Well, I took my first attempt at vendordiving last night.

Started with 700pp. Ended my first run with 900pp..

a 200p return on my first try wasnt so bad, i found a blue diamond, and 5 crystalized sulfurs, yay me

Thismorning however i kinda went overboard, ran around the world, and faithfully invested in the vendors materials, leaving me with 30pp as my trader went up in the bazaar thismorning. I know there are people looking for the stuff i picked up, i saw them in barter last night, too bad they werent on thismorning

I feel that the items will sell soon...

      • Let me know how much you make from it and if it is worth spending all your money on venders

        • update

Went from 700pp to 7700pp in 3 days, not too shabby for a bunch of items i only spent like 3000pp on.

I started making a list of things that sell every time i get them, and i am starting to look for those items more than others, but still keeping my eyes peeled.

Not looking for secret spots or anything, but do you guys ever find luck in the pok library? i have scanned through there a few times and not found anything really of value, other than the occasional item on the warrior tome merchants :P

Question about the new expansion though...

How many of you divers out there are gonna spend a few thousand pp on new random items from vendors in the weeks following the expansion release? :P

            • I suspect there's a lot less secret spots nowdays than before, because of the guild lobby. Used to be that people would be bound all over the place, so you might know that one guild was all bound in kael or something like that. Now everyone just pops in the lobby.

I don't check the library much anymore (I don't dive or sell seriously now), but I would check the ones close to the door (people coming back from ds), and the spell turnin guys

              • Check melee classes origin points. "Go home" button places you there too. So it's worth checking both in the morning and in the evening for people who origin / sell or log previous night and go-home / sell. You can sometimes find SO weird combination of stuff on a vendor in a very out-of-the-way guild hall it just seems impossible. But if it's origin point for some class / race combination, that explains it.

                • Post Patch Goodies

                  Hmm,

5 Blue Diamonds, 1 Feran Blood, 2 Blocks of Elec. Copper, 2 ball bearings, 1 Bazu Bone. All in all not a great haul for after a patch.
Oh yeah aslo found an Enticing Ruby Earring for 67 PP.

But I did find that people in the baz still don't bother to check what the buyers are offering...I made 3880 pp just moving stuff from sellers to buyers last night.

I have all my skills at 200 except tailoring which is 135, I have a a lot of silk swatches and heady kiolias on my enchanter....odd how one of my own chars has turned on me and claims that I am running a sweat shop :-P

                  • It makes me cry to think of how much good stuff goes into guild merchants to be poofed when the place is left empty long enough.

                    • I've found parchments of all types, hynid blood, windstones, dust of discord and many other things on venders in the GH. Makes me wonder also what poofed like a fart in the wind on those days when i can't log in to check.

                      • Although this isn't really a story about the success of vendor-diving, I sold a coarse silk swatch to a vendor and either someone else bought it or it just poofed in the guild hall. And to think a few days ago I was considering myself lucky to have gotten 2 coarse silks from a Nest mission...

                        • I love the double XP week-end.

It seems all fellow vendor divers were busy XP-ing. Two runs netted among more common stuff:
                          • 3 Glossy Drake Hides (yep 3 on the vendor, just one purchase)
                          • 1 Metallic Drake Scale
                          • 1 Metallic Substance
                          • 1 Pile of Gravel
                          • 1 Shimmering Aligned Ore
                          • 1 Highland Sludge
                          • 2 Raw Pale Nihilite
                          • 2 Stacks of Blue Diamonds

                          Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
