Everyone can do augments from silks, pelts and ore, BUT while tinkering you can only use ore, pretty much like you need ore if you're going to smith the augment. So for tailors they can use pelts or silk

          Oops

Bah ended up editing again /sigh. I did most of the list using my lev 66 druid (187 tailoring skill) and for some reason the silk robes did not show up for her. The trivials for silks are now updated accordingly

Ngreth has posted somewhere that the old recipes for these weren't disabled, though I haven't tested that myself. Apparently a book that teaches the new recipes for these also didn't make it out. So I assume (there's that dangerous word) that effectively, there were no changes to the seals this patch.

                  I'm on progression server.
Doing some tailoring tradeskill. Today is the first time i take a look at cultural armor. I think that with those new recipes it's easier to do.

I'm a dark elf, making silk, and to make intricate bracers i need malleable iron thread which are only sold in Grobb on a smithing npc. Is that normal or should i find in neriak too?

In case people looted the following and can't figure out where they belong on the table:

                    Alkalai Loam <-- Tier 12
                    Porous Loam <-- Tier 13

Flawless Spinneret Fluid <-- Tier 12

Tier no. figured out by their Lucy ID.
Tier 12 and Tier 13 to be enabled by next expansion.

(I have Flawless Spinneret Fluid and Alkalai Loam on me on a Live Server so they did drop.)

Here is a "short form" version of the first post, barring the Tinkering stuff.

Useful if you want to, say, tell a guildie what they should be looking for.

                      Code:

Silk: Upper trivial range is 5 higher than above
                      Templates:
                      Plate/Chain: Ore templates
                      Leather: Hide templates
                      Cloth: Silk templates

Templates are used for skilling up, and certain kinds are used for cultural.

                      Cultural:
The template which is used is determined by the "level" of the cultural armor:
                      Simple: 100 (Req 15 cultural)
                      Ornate: 170 (Req 35 cultural)
                      Intricate: 290 (Req 55 cultural)
                      Elaborate: 370 (Req 65 cultural)
Or just look at the table above.

                      Cultural Smithing:
                      Template+Loam

                      Cultural Cloth:
                      Template+Spinneret Fluid

                      Cultural Leather:
                      Template+Marrow

                      Cultural Symbols:
                      Ore+Loam (?)

                      Current Top end stuff:
Templates: Cobalt Ore, Superb Pelt, Superb Silk
Culturall: Soluble Loam, Superb Spinneret Fluid, Excellent Marrow

The "top end" will be changing with SoF.

The "Cultural" drops are the rare bottleneck ones. The Template drops are common skill up drops.

                      Drops:
                      Metal: From Golems OR Humanoids
                      Hides: From Animals OR Humanoids
                      Silk: From Spiders OR Humanoids

If a mob drops two categories, they are a Humanoid, even if they don't look like it.

                      Levels:
and as for what you see... that is the TABLE each one gets... each table has a 92% chance its their item, 6% chance of the lower tier item and 2% chance of the higher tier item. (these numbers may not be accurate but are in the ballpark) Then some of the tables are set with 2d2 (the lowest) and some with 1d2 (the middle) if it rolls a 2... each one is rolled independently.
Which basically means "you can get higher or lower drops off a given mob".

Yeah i'm sure. i made some intricate duskwoven armband and i need malleable iron thread. i bought them in grobb at Uailan (or something like that) a smithing female merchant. I asked someone who has premium access on alla to look who was selling them....

i used 1 water flask + 1 malleable iron thread + 1 soft filament + 1 fine silk wristband template + 1 fine spinneret fluid + 1 pattern for dark elven wristbands + teir'dal needle

                              result:
                              Intricate duskwoven armband
                              class: Nec, Wiz, Mag, Enc
                              race: DEF
                              rec. level 60, req 55
