Can't make my trophy ( 250 skill one )

So finally got around to working on my tailoring trophy and ran into the Concussive Bola road block which led me here.

No Stunning Concoction I potions in bazaar and no shaman I know bothered to save any. Guess Im waiting almost 2 weeks to progress with this?

Regarding the High Quality Ra'Tuk Brute Hides, I farmed mine in Barindu. I killed all Ra'Tuk models but both my hides dropped from Ra'Tuk Screambringers. One in the main courtyard, one in the tunnel leading to Riwwi. The were very rare drops; on the order of 1in50ish...

I spoke with Maddoc about sticking them on a vendor.

While we understand how much it sucks to have this bottleneck, we just did not think it was a good idea to have these on a vendor, especially since we are removing the old potions from the game. It just brings with it too many other issues and potential bad effects.

There's lots of ratuks in riwwi and barindu, and a few in qinimi that are lower level. I haven't noticed a better drop rate on the higher level ones in kodtaz and yxtta so it's probably better to farm the lower level ones.

While as a tradeskiller I can say that the oversight of this problem with the bola's reciepe is a serious PITA. I too and stuck at the bola "brick wall", and am annoyed at seeing bugs go to the live servers. Having to wait until March 14th for the fix to be in place is annoying and could be considered unfair and baised against us tailors. All of this on top of the roll backs due to EQ's error of having the beta merchants appear on the live servers. Broken quests left and right. All of that being said this sounds like a flame the House Ogre and the Dev's post right?

WRONG!!!! If you can just imagine the number of lines of code, the sheer volumne of testing they do, the amount of data they go through. A complete set of new evolving quests, and items. Many of us on this board have been practically BEGGING for easier to aquire 15% skill modifiers for years. To only have one "bug" is rather amazing, considering the thousands of lines of code just for one of the quests.

Hats off to the dev's and Ngreth! Lets all be happy this is just a minor speed bump and not a full blown mountain.

Anyone on bertox server that needs one of the potions look me up, go by the name of spykke. Read the board and heard ngreth talking bout looking into the issue and had decided it was better to keep looking for the potion in baz, sure enough found 17 of em for 200pp each. Obviously i stockpiled on em . So Feel free to shoot me a tell if your on sever, love to help out my fellow tradeskillers.

I'm not on Bert but just wanted to comment that I think this is beyond cool of you. Hats off to you, Bloodbayne!!!!

Do we know exactly what the Stunning Concoction is being replaced with? Or will there be a book somewhere that has the new recipie?

My theory is that they might just change the reciepe to not use the stunnign concotion, or they will change it to use one of the ones.

Again, this is just a theory.

Unfortunately the next patch is scheduled 3/14 (I have no control over this)

When it is fixed it will use the equivalent new potions (the patch message specifies it, but in case you want to get the items early here is the line in the patch message: Changed the Stunning Bola and Explosive Bola to use the new potions. (Basic Suspension of Pestilence IV and Basic Suspension of Flame IV respectively))

Still nothing on the patch. I tried the bola combine withteh new stunning connction (Basic Suspension of Pestilence IV) without success. Cannot combine in this container (using the loom in the guild hall, and deluxe sewing kit)

I have my Basic Suspension of Pestilence IV sitting in the bank, courtesy of a friendly neighborhood shaman, and am waiting anxiously for the patch to finish so that I can try the combine.

If all goes well, there will be one very happy kitty BL on Povar in a few hours, otherwise I'll have to go kill every ra'tuk in Riwwi a few times (again) to get more hides for the retry

Noted that two Bolas are mentioned in the patch message, presumably the one needed for the Journeyman Trophy and the one needed for the Master Trophy. I'm on the Expert Trophy (Concussive Bola) and since the ones mentioned before use Basic Suspension of Pestilence IV and VI, I'll just guess 'mine' uses Basic Suspension of Pestilence V. Off to try

*edit2* It exists: Violet Tri-Tube Sap, Angurth Leaf, Arroweed Leaf (x2), Yellow Rheum Leaf (all from the O'Danos clan in PoK) and Simple Friable Potion Vial
