Well... I nuked the Grimling Chieftain, and he summoned me =) Anyways, finish killing him and to my surprise, the defenders instantly spawned on his death. I didn't get anyone to attack the grimlings though, but someone in zone said he had killed the attackers on their way because he wanted grimlings to take over the whole zone. He also said that he had gotten sonic wolves to completely take over zone, and owlbears to completely take over zone so far, and both times, the Prince spawned, and reset the zone upon death. So it looks fixed, and it looks VERY fast.

I can CONFIRM, it is WORKIGN GREAT!!! OMG, and hte grimlings drop acrylia like mad in there when they have camps. About every 15 min, one faction attacks another. And resetting war via spawn by SV does indeed work. However, substances are still as rare as windstones.

Ok war does appear to be fixed. If you are the kinda person that liked breaking it so it would be hard for smiths to use this pathway i've got some bad news for you...They war. They war often. Seems to be solid. The rates of drops appear unchanged.

Perhaps I was lucky. I wiped grimlings from islands and south area in a few AE's with a 57 druid, 49 wiz, and a 60+ monk pulling them in large groups. Walked out with 2 bag fulls of acrylia pieces, bricks, and blocks (monk got a bag or so himself). Wolves then took camp, proceeded to do same, got not quite 3 stacks of substance via same method (after a long 3 hours there in which some helped me keep wolves around a bit), but with bard pulling (monk left). Lost camp to grims once again (**** fast wars), and cleared them with bard pulling, got another bags worth of acrylia. Also note, named mob will spawn when whole zone is controlled, and will rests war after so long of one control (took like 45 min with wolves in all 3). I lost whole zone to grimlings eventually because they war so **** frequently, about every 15-25 min they war, and unhelped it takes attackers about 5-10 min to either win or lose. I haven't seen any losses yet, the invaders are so darn fast. All it takes is one invader into the camp to win it over. Most acrylia BTW dropped off defenders and bodyguards when was was happening. Still have yet to see after 3 or so hours the bears take over, they lose almost every time. If you plan on farming war, get some helpers who can solo invaders/defenders at each camp, preferably ones with track, because it's quick to happen once attackers get near.

Eventually the wolves attacked. I was already at the cheif hut, and waited there until the wolves arrived. The bodyguards and cheif respawned normally (I was killing them whenever they spawned, don't know if that affected the defender spawns), but no new mobs spawned. The traditional "defenders" did not spawn, and when the line of sonic wolves arrived, as soon as the first wolf got inside the chief hut the place *instantly* despawned/respawned as wolves (before, there aways was a decient pause between reach hut, despawn, and respawn). I then went down to farm the islands, and while I could traditionally hold 4 islands, I could now only hold about 2 due to faster respawn. The pathing also is weird ... the "hunter"s would run away from me whenever I approached, and would only engage me at the water's edge, and even then it was hard to stay engaged without using root.
Also, attacks are far more frequent. I was there for about an hour and a half, and I noticed 5 attacks (might've missed some annoucnements in battlespam, too)

More frequent attacks
No defenders, so attacks will win
Faster repop
so, the zone can now support more farmers (more mobs due to faster respawn) however they need to pay attention that the mobs they are farming aren't being attacked. If they are, they need to defend to keep the zone in the state they desire.
I like this a LOT.

Something I have been keeping to myself since the patch before this one... They seem to have changed the vendor buy back price for the acrylia runes. The high end ones are about the same, but some of the low end ones were 4-8 times more platHadn't collected any Dytl, Juln and Numn to check if they are now worth keeping.

Hollowshade war
Hollowshade war is thankfully fixed. I have been there for a while now. Each sides defenders spawn, and you can get each force to attack by killing a named. However, in its current incarnation it is very suceptable to griefing. 3 times so far in a span of 2 hours I have set it to wolves winning the war and controlling the islands (so I can gather substances) and within 10 mins it has been reset on purpose to mess with me. This is not cool. It takes some effort and work to get things set the way I'd like them, and it to be dashed by someone with an outside agenda is not cool.

Just another confirmation
I personally witnessed the war successfully complete and reset after the boss mob was killed 2 times last night on FV. One victory each for the owlbears and the grimlings.
